It's incredible how much this guys have evolved and grown overtime (musically speaking).Not that they were ever bad by no means. But I listen to them now,and their sound is just amazing!!! And Dave Grohl has reached a well deserved ROCK LEGEND status already!!! Thank you soo much FOO FIGHTERS!!!

I reckon Foo Fighters are so good because they've barely changed, and by that I mean they havent radically changed (like Silverchair or something). But thats not to say they're boring. They consistently bring out awesome heavy songs and softer songs which could all be from the same album. Just such a good band, possibly the best band :)

I think they have changed to a more mellow sound, in my opinion a bit less interesting or rocking, but as you said nothing radical. I love their first three albums, for me they are their best ones. PD: also love the first two Silverchair album, classic bangers.

Neither Pat or Chris were in the original line up. It was just Dave in the studio. Dave never intended it to be a band, it was just something to keep himself busy while he tried to figure out his next move. I say he did alright, we'd probably forgot about him if he went on playing drums for whoever offered him the gig.
