With the dry onion soup mix. My grandma's Sunday roast is easy, affordable and delicious. With a chuck roast in the Crock-Pot, you sprinkle the dry onion soup mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup. That's it. Cook it down. Serve it over mashed potatoes. It creates its own gravy. 🤤😋

Hi Candance, I never realized you had a mini-stroke... that can make things so much more difficult. What did the doctors do/say? How long were you in the hospital (I don't remember, or I missed you mentioning it)? Have you, or are you expected to make a full recovery? I'm curious because my close friend suffered a few mini-strokes. As far as I know, she's recovered completely. That's a large food haul. Looks like you should be set for a while. The food banks you use are very generous (compared to many). I know in some areas they don't allow people to use more than just the one in their own area and can't use any of the others(so you are fortunate to be able to do that). The idea of going in and doing your own shopping/picking out what you actually want is such a great idea. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi 👋, so my mini stroke was in 2017, I was only in the hospital a few hours, but I went back lots for tons of tests. Everything always came back normal. Yes, we are fortunate to have several food banks near us. My favorite is this one we can shop at. I do love then all, though, even if we are given foods we can use, we are always able to find people who can use them. Thanks for watching and commenting. 💞

You can cut you roast up (boil) and add turnips, carrots, potatoes, cabbage. Make a huge boiled dinner (bouiller). Maybe that’s an Acadian thing, but we sure like it (can freeze, too). What a beautiful food haul from the pantry today! Blessings to you from Atlantic Canada

Air tight container for the cereal, pork roast is great in the crock pot, the sausage is good in many ways-spaghetti sauce, browned with onions on a sub roll and more. I would of thought same on the book because it said 'recipes to make you slim' one the right.

Hi Candy! You could just substitute low carb ingredients for that book maybe lentil or quinoa pasta for the regular. And then still be able to use the recipes. It's easy to cut recipes in half to make less servings, check how many servings it makes. I'm just gonna say it makes 12 servings, to cut it down to 6 servings just cut all the stuff ingredients in half, like for 12 servings it calls for 3 cups of ingredients, cut in half would be 1 & 1/2 cups, if you only wanted 3 servings you'd only need 3/4 cups. Use same ingredients just less. Hope that makes sense! Or make normal recipe and freeze meal size portions for another time, and you only have to thaw and reheat in microwave!
@JolineCrane
@JolineCrane 2 ай бұрын
I try to keep my brain working by challenging myself with the math! Lol. Could Google how much is half also. Or great big restaurant size recipes I would Google it. Or cut in half,and then cut in half again. If it's my book I right the measurements and how many servings , right beside the original, so you'd only have to do the math once ! And you'd have it for every time you wanted to make it!❤Joline Crane

That Italian sausage is good just rolled into balls browned and use with spaghetti or other pasta, or subs. Olive Gardens' Tuscan soup with Spinach or kale and beans. Frittatas with veggies( like a baked omelet) Quiche. For the pork roast , pulled pork with BBQ sauce or cut into maybe 3 or 4 pieces to make different things, cubed could make pork chops suey, or pulled pork tacos. Could cook in crock pot or instant pot( pressure cooker. I look at Pinterest for a lot of recipes if I get something I've never cooked before. I think that cut may be fatty and may have a big bone through it. If you just cook it with salt and pepper you could make different flavors profiles with it after cooked. Possibly egg roll in a bowl,Burrito bowls etc. Joline Crane again I can't get my old channel to come up on new device and had to make new e mail also! Sorry I did 3 posts in a row! Lol😊❤

With due respect Candy, with so many online work from home jobs available, couldn't at least Mitch obtain a job that would help provide for his family? I don't understand how he can be disabled, but still able to hunt, fish, ride the rides at the water park, etc. I understand that you have more serious health concerns, but a man Mitch's age should be able to find work that he is capable of completing. What does he do all day?

All due respect intended 🌹, not every disability is visible. I get that same comment from people, I'm on SSI. WHAT ISN'T VISIBLE . . . Broke my back in 6 places, my neck in 2, all right ribs, both knees, sternum, all bones in my face, collar bone, severed my right thigh muscle completely in half, ALL IN THE SAME ACCIDENT WITH DEER! HIT BY A TRAIN AND THROWN THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD, with severe head injuries, diabetic, 2 strokes, a heart attack, sepsis and MRSA hospitalizations etc I could go on but I believe I've made my point . . . EDIT: My oldest son is a strapping 6'9" and born without part of his brain ( agenesis corpus collosum) . . . He's slower than most but you cannot see his disability either
