Food Banks Canada After the Bell 2022

For most kids, the last day of school marks the beginning of fun summer days filled with sunshine, laughter and friends. For others, it means the end of the critical in-school meal programs that keep their growing bodies healthy & strong.
That’s why we created After the Bell in 2015. Since then, with the support of food banks and corporate partners from coast-to-coast-to-coast, we've distributed over 600,000 child-friendly, nutritious food packs to communities across Canada including those in remote, Northern locations in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Each pack contains shelf-stable items such as milk, hummus, crackers, cereal, oatmeal and sunflower seeds. The packs are then sent to the local food bank who uses grant money to supplement the food packs with perishable items such as apples, sugar snap peas, cheese, and yogurt.

Ici à Joliette en 2022 nous avons manqué de personnel et de bénévole pour faire la distribution des sacs après la cloche et nous allons nous reprendre pour 2023 car le besoin est vraiment criant. Dite moi quand pouvons-nous s'inscrire au programme
