@@DaniCha It was instant for me as well! As soon as I saw the gorgeous Kwanchai Moriya art on the cover and heard it was an asymmetric game for 1-2 players designed by Scott Almes... like... don't think I've ever been so excited for a game I (at the time) knew nothing about! (except now maybe Omega Jump if it ever gets printed!!!) :D

Couldn't agree more! I'm always in awe of the care and design that goes into these micro games! Definitely micro in size, but huuuuge in enjoyment! 😁

Great video! I believe you would also like to check other solitaire Button Shy Games like Ugly Gryphon Inn (also from Scott Almes) or Spaceshipped. BTW, the third game in the series will be kickstartered soon, Unsurmountable.

Yes! Ugly Gryphon Inn is another new fav! I'll have to check out Spaceshipped as well. ^^

Hehe yes! A wiser person would probably plan out all the moves from the get-go, but I like to just go with it and roll with the punches. 😎

This is a good one. Recently got this and Ugly Gryphon Inn. Both are really fun. Sprawlopolis is ok and The Perfect Moment made brain explode so I will have to return to that one of these days. I do like what Button Shy can do with 18 cards. Very creative.

Like yourself I really enjoy what Button Shy publishes. And I am also a huge fan of so many of Scott Almes games and wonder if you have you tried Ugly Gryphon Inn?
@tabletoptokki3 жыл бұрын
I have! It's an interesting and different take on puzzly micro games and I love the illustrations. After two plays it hasn't quite gripped me, but I'll have to give it a few more plays before saying yay or nay, as there are probably a few nuances I missed on initial plays. Have you played it/ what are your thoughts if so?

Looks like a cute game! Are the expansions worth the money? And what do they all do exactly? The website doesn't have descriptions for them, just the base game. Thanks ^^
@tabletoptokki3 жыл бұрын
I'm inclined to say they're worth it, but it definitely depends from person to person! Each one is only a few dollars, but understandably they do add up. For some, the variety of $24 towards two entirely different games might be a better investment vs $22 to have a completely expanded solid single game. Hope the following helps you decide if they'd be for you! :) --- Friendly Waters adds new marine animals that give you 1 time use powers throughout the game. A few are included with the base game, so this expansion would be the least "essential" of the three as it just adds more content. (e.g. 09:38) Tough Skies adds the flying animals. These make the game more challenging, with objectives you need to trigger in order to win the game. (e.g. 07:35) Lost Beasts doesn't add any "new" mechanics, but rather more animals with new powers & a larger grid. (seen in the vid; normally it'd be a 4x4 grid without them.)

Where can I by this if I'm in the UK? 😍😭
@tabletoptokki2 жыл бұрын
PNP Arcade has a cheap print and play version if you're into that! If not, I know in the NL/ Germany a few publishers have started to pick up some Button Shy titles-- Frosted Games maybe? I'd imagine it might be easier to order from them, or perhaps a UK publisher will pick it up soon if they haven't already! 😊
