My Samut deck is not CEDH but with luck turn 3 -4 goes infinite with devoted druid+ vizier of remedies + Rhonas( Shalai or Nylea can do it also) = Hugeeeee creatures Vizier, Devoted, Rhonas and My Samut, and every1 can attack bcoz Samut gives haste :) that's my Aggro combo (I refuse to use ballista in Samut's deck, only aggro combos :D ) Naya Powa 4 EVA!!

That moment of cooperation to stop another player from winning was just beautiful!! In my playgroup plays like that cannot be performed, because there's not a concept of helping each other not to immediately die. Players tend to hold onto personal grudges from previous games (from years back). and sadly, watching that kind of play in a CEDH game makes my casual edh playgroup looks so petty. While I love games that get done quickly so you can shuffle and play again, it's games like these that bring me the biggest fun with CEDH. Interactive to the very end, with every player trying to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, even after all hope seems lost and you're out of all wincons. After all, we're in this format because we like to challenge ourselves to be the very best players we can be.

I think that this is a very important thing to think about when piloting a deck so I want to bring it up. At around 2:55 in the video Cameron casted his Tainted Pact. When casting it he was going for Food Chain like you would expect but through out that whole time exiling card he must have past other tutors. And because he had the knowledge of having Chain of Vapor in his hand it might have been better to take a tutor use the Chain of Vapor, crack the fetch land and use the tutor if he grab a 1 CMC tutor, like Vampiric Tutor or Enlightened Tutor. From this he could go cast his silence on his upkeep as planned and try to win.

Just so you know…when the first sliver player was going off, made infinite mana, and then cast veil of summer…the veil of summer resolved, and your lab man couldn’t have been assassin trophied…so I’m pretty sure you win that game.

The lab man entered after veil cast. Therefore isn’t affected by hexproof from it. I thought about how Omnath could’ve won earlier by using infinite mana food chain etbs. He had the exile creature to create infinite mana and could’ve just used infinite omnath etbs right away, no?

Foodchain opening hand with Ukkima. Super aggressive mulligans.Ramp and tutors. If it has food chain , that’s the cherry on top. I firmly believe Ukkima is the best FC commander

Ukkima might be the best for FC combo but that omnath is quite good too. Adding red to disturb opponents and access to underworld breach too in case you want to add LED combo

Quick rules and play question, did Cameron cast Silence to prevent Foodchain being cast or was it in response to Foodchain to prevent Tyler from going off that turn? I can't remember if Silence eliminates the stack on cast like a pseudo Time Stop ability or if Foodchain would resolve and then Tyler would have nothing else to do on his turn... Also, I've played against First Sliver Foodchain quite a bit and I have to say it is definitely pretty solid. I've not had a chance to play against Ukkima and Cazur yet though, and I've seen some really awesome builds of the list. Korvold is a revamped take on another classic competitive Foodchain dragon- Prossh- and I've played with both of them for a long time. I think Korvold is still absurdly powerful just because of its draw capabilities, and it is impressive how often it wins games with almost no boardstate at all. That being said, Korvold sacrifices a TON and if you're not capitalizing on it effectively you can trip up and basically lose. I like how high risk and high reward it is though.

So I'm biased I have a korvold FC deck. I rarely have an issue going to my plan B if FC doesn't work. Getting temur saber with dockside is such an easy route to shift change to. As well as most people who I see playing FC just drop it in with no protection. Everytime I drop FC with no protection it's gone by my next turn.
