What none of those "professionals" interviewed would point out is that you can eat enough protein from plants to survive but not to thrive. Eat this way and you will develop sarcopenia and waste away in a nursing home a wasted (and probably overweight) individual, or you can eat muscle protein and stay more muscular as you age. It is amazing that they will not point this out.

I suffered from metabolic syndrome (obesity, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and high blood sugar). I went whole food plant based no sugar oil or salt and I lost 65 pounds, all my conditions greatly improved, my gums stopped bleeding, and erections and energy returned. I used to have an appetite that was never satisfied; whole foods cured it. I no longer use a sleep apnea machine. Finally, the food is cheap-Beans, lentils, rice, potatoes and seasonal apples. Also, I save money by not having to buy pills and visit the Doctor. I am thankful to all the vegans who suffered attacks to reveal the truth to me.

Veganism is about ethics not health or environmental issues, so if you ditched your scruples, then you never had a social conscience in the first place. that said we vegan can and should also care about our health and the environment. Likely is that as a raw plant based you were never consuming a balanced wholefood diet and you were never ethically vegan.

Veganism will kill the planet. We need the animals for the soil. It's massive farming and chemicals that are killing the planet. See for yourself the shocking million dollar machines that the animals have been removed for. The trees have been removed so the fifty meter wide span of the machines can spread the toxic chemicals all over the soy, wheat, sugar and corn. It's that we must get rid of. Not to mention all those awful grains they're spraying to manufacture the cooking oils that are no good for man or beast. Please don't become one of the many contributors to this cult.

@@pepper419 No. Just no. False in every regard. Up to 80% of some crops generated by that "massive farming and chemicals" are being grown just to FEED the animals we're raising for milk, eggs, and meat. You can't replace one vegan with another expecting the balance to change. It's impossible. We need the animals back on the land. We're killing the land to feed you. Million dollar machines spreading billions of dollars worth of toxins; artificial fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, bactericides, in the name of junk food like cakes, pasta, wheat, rice, sugar, soy, corn, oils for cooking that are no darn good for human beings or beasts. They should only be used for machines but everything get cooked in them. There must be a whole isle of them in the supermarket by now. How much land does that crap take up? This is why the lowly cow has been demonized. YES, don't demonize the cereals made of junk and coated in sugar that will rot teeth. Don't demonize coca cola with it's ten teaspoons of sugar per can. I used to follow some of the doctors they use in this video. I've since learned that for me, my carbohydrate intake has to be 20 grams or less per day. It's the only way I reversed my T2D and got off all of my diabetic medications. It was a plant based diet that helped worsen my metabolic syndrome and ultimately contributed to my T2D diagnosis. Saturated fat is not the problem. It's the carbs (sugar, fructose, and all carbs) that are the problem. We've been lied to for over 60-years, and we are suffering from the results.

You're never satiated and yet your stomach is so full it's hard to breathe. And then 2h later you're hungry asf again. I feel just awful wobbly and spacey with all those carbs. While carbs with protein and fat make me feel good. I can eat oats with milk. Or potatoes with some butter and a piece of meat. Or 2-3eggs for breakfast and be full for most of the day not even thinking about food. But nofat wfpb and im full physically yet starving after 2h just craving to eay antyhing. My Mom who passed very young also didn't like animal products at all, a good friend of mine also not a vegan but just doesn't like animal products. But for my Dad and me we could eat nothing besides animal products and likely do fine. The sole reason I'm restricting them somewhat is due to science. But I feel definitely not good very fast if I go without. And it's funny cuz as said I can go without food for a longass time. But when I eat no animal products I'm just constantly thinking about food. Which with moderate carb intake(30-50%) isn't the case. Raw vegans feel nothing beats all raw, all the time. Carnivore dieters feel theirs is best. I follow many, just out of curiosity, on here, and guess what? I have tried most of them. But, bottom line is, I love to eat. I love food. Some people say sugar is evil. No sugar, ever. I feel watching added sugars, using natural sweeteners like maple syrup and honey in moderation, or raw sugar, in moderation, and making my own sweets, is better than commercial, pre packaged crap with lots of chemicals in it. Every one of us can choose, 3 or more times a day, to consume plants instead of animals. Every person who does this, and every meal they choose plants, helps.

FOOD HABITS IN LATER LIFE STUDY was undertaken among five cohorts in Japan, Sweden, Greece and Australia. Legumes were found to be the most important dietary predictor of survival in older people of different ethnicities. The results showed that for every 20 grams (one ounce) increase in daily legumes intake there was an 8% reduction in the risk of death. This study shows that no matter what your ethnic background or where you live, eat more legumes to live longer, especially as you age. Of all the food groups including meat, legumes alone had consistent and statistically significant results.

I feel sick when I eat carbs and dairy. When I don't eat carbs or dairy, I lose weight immediately, my muscles come back, out, my skin is more dewy, and I have more energy. I eat loads of fat and protein. I get my carbs only from veggies and a small amount of fruit. I do not do ketosis, but I keep my carbs around 85 grams per day. Grains and wheat make me sick. I think vegans eat way too much grain and processed food. Also, the more fat I eat, the better my skin is. Of course, eating a lot of fat has to be accompanied by cutting out some carbs, mainly in the form of grains--veggies are the good carbs. Some people thrive on high fat, low carb diets.

@@efrem_1167 i appreciate ur res0ectfull comment but the problem is that we can believe anyth8ng when its said by famous figures for too much. The problem is that theres no threat or problem in the first place, the human behavior and EVOLUTION also can perfectly explain the fact that even the top "facts" that nobody can question them can be completely baseless and lies and still THE MAJORITY would fall for it. Our chimp ancestors have found out its the best to be ruled under one central leader, bcuz it increased the chance of welfare and survival, thats why EVOLUTION, has put REWARDS , for us for anything that increase our survival chance incl. Sexual intercourse with ejaculation, and here OBEYING THE LEADER by feeling PROUD OF BEING CIVILIZED (civilized means gathering into a society or group that every body do their parts for the goodness of the society). Infact being the most loyal to leader was naturally one of the top elements of PRIDE amoung our ancestors, that literally means "sacreficing urself for the goodness of society" Im a sociology and politic enthusiast, nomatter how much u try to tell me that humans are more complex than that and its all based on thinking/logic that we acknowledge certain things but still its so goddamn obvious that ur acknowledgement of existance of climate crisis is 99% based on emotion or better said EVOLUTION. common sense with confidence means BE UNCIVILIZED FOR A MOMENT , aka "GET A LOOK FROM OUTSIDE OF THE BOX" ,bcuz it makes thing very easier, how can 0.04% co2 in atmosphere cause a crisis ? The first time u hear anything ur first thought is ur COMMON SENSE which u suppress later based on the "box/matrix" , u first think "yes thats too low to cause a crisis" , but u immediately think : "how come so many big names, so many organisations, noble prize winners, so many experts, so many officials and etc from all over the world consider that low amount dangerous ?? There might be a catch , i think when i dig deep into it i will conclude the same thing as the MAJORITY" this is the definition of peasant , or more famously "sheep" , they totally ignore the most FUNDAMENTAL SCIENTIFIC FACTS that light up the dark way, based on "WHO DID WHAT" aka the sheperds, the leadwrs, the famous ppl, big names and etc. Forexample more than 90% of our biology science is based on CORELATION between the input and the output , but fundamental science says : "Corelation is not causation" And when i say our biology science can be CLUE but is NOT RELIABLE , eventho its based on fundamentals, but u cant believe such huge organisations with thousands of scientists are wrong. Another fundamental is that "energy doesnt disappear" ,a warmer summer would increase the AVERAGE temp. Of autumn and winter , but we arent seeing it at all ! Infact last year we broke so many coldness records 15 degree colde rin sibery, coldest autumn, soonest snow , snow in places that was not probable or even possible , coldness record in india usa europe and etc are broken , coldest january, coldest february and etc. How come we dont see they get warmer but we see the other way around makes more sense and FUNDAMENTALS ARE RESPECTED , i mean the fact that the world is getting colder , the colder winters and autumns have respected the fundamentals and made spring and summer colder ! I asked all my relatives that are spreaded all over the world except africa, everybody said it got colder this year, im super sensitive to heat, bcuz i lose sleep for weeks , last years i lost sleep , this year nothing like that, this is another fundamental "to verify with the simplest tools u have, ur senses" This year was the first year that i wore jacket right in the middle of summer, but since that majority have different idea , it mess with ur head eventho ur heart suggest something else. These dont go viral , and Eventho this summer was colder , one news went viral , that particulalr week and the hottest week in 125,000 years baseless claim, its just words that messes with ur head, u cant confirm it for urself ,nothing of that is confirmable, the temp. Measuring stations are also intentionally put near asphalt area that record an warmer and unnatural temprature, these bs news comes from those ill intention. Sum up, read about religion and the jesuits, first they were paganists, but the gods were physical, which is a limitation , bcuz it was verifiable who stand behind them and talk behalf of the god , thus theyve turned the gods into INVISIBLE THINGS , invisible forces like angels and demons, they made insvisible heaven and hell and it made them more obeyable bcuz they can never be VERIFIED ! read about how the jesuits were robbing ppl from money tto their rights, eventho they were the advocates for moral, they all were members of an elite club , science today is almost the same exact thing !! U CANNOT VERIFY THE SCIENCE, THE STUDIES UNTILL U HAVE ELITE LEVEL MONEY ! Now they scare u of an invisible force, a virus , or co2 or anything, its the same exact concept of satan and other bs. The hell is today the climate crisis (which thru the lens of politic , the whole climate bs gets 100% exposed, its all connected to GEOPOLITICAL AGENDA : DE-INDUSTRIALIZING CERTAIN REGIONS bcuz we are right exactly at a turning point of history). No matter how much u explain the science, its so goddamn obvious that ur acknowledgement is better explainable thru mass-psychology , u may think i just speculate, but im actually seeing it, its been years that studied these facts, i immediately recognise the emptiness of a claim , its now easy, observing the respect for fundamentals also helps. Theres no crisis, its all one hiant BS , that is applied the same way jesuits applied their societal surgeries

*ATTENTION: HERE IS THE SECRET TO HEALTHY LIVING:* Eat like a cave "person". Eat any and all foods that would have been available to someone who lived 1000+ years ago. No sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no "seed oils", no vegetable oils, no processed foods, no fruit juice, no gmo corn or wheat, no modern flours, no coconut milk, no almond milk/butter/flour, no pasta and very, very few carbohydrates. There are a few tribes of people in China and Asia that eat/ate a high carb diet and remain(ed) thin because they refrain(ed) from everything else listed. It doesn't matter if you choose to be vegan, carnivore, or omnivore the same rule applies. Eat the same foods your ancestors would have eaten 1000 years ago with a catch. The food needs to be seasonal. In the modern world a quick trip to a grocery store yields every sort of fruit known to man but way back man rarely ate fruit. Humans evolved with a metabolism that could be compared with a bear in the fact both can add fat quickly, (but not the hibernating part). For 2-3 weeks in the fall of the year when humans were still evolving and hunter gatherers, whenever they stumbled upon a fruit tree they would gorge themselves with the sugary fruit and that would add fat that was needed to survive the lean winter months. In early spring humans ate any berries they found as they hunted and the sugar rush helped power them until the next kill. Veggies were seasonal as well, grocery stores were not invented yet and if it wasn't potato harvest time they didn't eat potatoes. So remember the rules above, and limit your fruit and vegetables until "in season" only unless you want to gain fat. Remember above when I mentioned no sugar? Fruit is full of sugar and should only be eaten sparingly, on occasion. There isn't a single vitamin or nutrient in fruit that can't be gotten elsewhere. The secret to being healthy is simple, eat like a cave "person". Bon Appetit and enjoy your health.

When you watch old black and white movies, (30s, 40s, 50s) those skinny people were eating butter and drinking full fat milk - especially their kids. They ate a portion of meat. They ate mostly whole grains in breads and crackers, the bleached alternatives were just starting to appear. They ate fruits and vegetables, including potatoes. When they did drink juice in the morning it was in a small “juice glass.” They were just starting to add the processed foods to the stores. Fast food restaurants were just getting started. People drank soda pop as an occasional treat, not daily, and certainly not with every meal. They ate reasonable portions at meals. Snacks were a treat, not a way of life. I believe the diet mentality started appearing more at that time too, but nothing like now. People need to be reasonable about food. No food eaten in moderation that’s from its natural source (the earth) is “bad”. Processed food (not food that has just been blended and/or cooked, but food that has had its structure altered) is bad. They take nutrients out of food and then re-add nutrients. Does that make sense to you? Sure, people who are overweight can lose weight on Keto. Fasting can be helpful too. But to be reasonable: you don’t 100% cut out any food that you have available, you’re not allergic to and that’s basically in its natural state. You just eat it in moderation. There’s a wide variety of natural food on earth, with a wide variety of nutritional value, not to mention flavors that enhance life. God created food for our enjoyment and health. Mankind is ruining it by altering it, and polluting it.

Butter and milk was all we had before cheese and yogurt started hitting the shelves. Nobody was fat and no, we did NOT eat whole grains. White bread and white potatoes were all we had if you were hungry between meals, you got an apple if you were lucky. Immigration in the 70's brought changes in the food. Pasta, rice & legumes started to appear on shelves along with vegetarian substitutes and breakfast cereals. Fast food popped up everywhere and the road to Lardville was paved.

Man I feel so great on meat, eggs, milk, cheese, fish and butter if they are part of a whole foods diet. But the moment I cut out the fat and animal products, I end up feeling starving. I can somewhat do with moderate protein and lower fat, but still the amounts of food to digest are crazy. I did Esselstyns diet even with a kcal surplus cuz I was so hungry all the time. It took me over a month to restabilize this ravenous appetite after quitting. And I tried to get in as much variety as I can to cover all potential nutrients. It's insane. All I keep getting told is my bodies own intuition is SO wrong. But big science is right and knows what's best for me and my health. Eating in moderation is incredibly easy if you're satiated. That's why ppl do keto (I'm not a fan of it). But low carb and keto gave even extreme overweight ppl the first time a notion of feeling NOT hungry. It's incredible. But all this insulinspiking 24/7 even if it's "only" to 130 is gonna keep u hungry.

Congratulations on the attempt. First hurtle/mistake is simple removing animal products without replacing the very small amount of nutrition. It's like learning how to eat again. Salads is not enough. It works to aim for 50+ plant based foods (sounds like a lot but is very simple). The main nutrients in animals are eaten and stored. Those nutrients in animals comes from the ground. If your in the USA, regular supermarket meat is so under nutrition that they inject chemicals to meet the standards set from research done when animals lived and ate more natural.

If you remove animal products, you are essentially removing the food that is causing that satiating feeling. You can't keep that satiation by eating plants. It's impossible because your glucose spikes and you have to replenish it when it drops. It's not nutrition that you have to replace - it's the fat, and animal fat is perfect for your body. If you have a high-carb diet and a high-fat diet (to help with the satiating feeling) you will throw your body into glucose spikes and weight gain. Your body can't use both glucose AND fat as fuel. Pick one. Glucose will make you get hungry sooner. Fat will make you satiated until YOU feel hungry again. You might hear people say, "Your body needs glucose", and it does for like 3 functions - but what they aren't telling you is that your body can make all the glucose it needs because of gluconeogenesis from the liver. We put too many carbs in our body without knowing that our body's daily recommended need for carbs is ZERO! Go carnivore for 30 days and see the difference. Not Keto. Carnivore. Meat. Fat. Water. Salt.

Both have lost a lot of weight in a few months, her type 2 diabetes went away (no meds), he is off all meds including cholesterol meds, blood pressure pills, and thyroid meds. His doctor is in disbelief of the changes to his blood. My uncle was nearly 300 lbs., now 220lbs. Oh yeah and he is in 70's and claims he never felt so good. @@kimberlysmith7311 That is not completely true. If you have the proper blood work conducted you will see that your meat diet is actually killing you. Carnivore is a diet and not a life style. The same diets have been pushed for 50 years now. They all have different names. Fact is the UN, CDC, and WHO have been warning people for 15 years to stop consuming meat and dairy. Let's talk about the planet's health and antibiotic resistance. Do you really believe that all these hormones and antibiotic infested animals that literally spend their entire existence in Feces, urine, and other dead animals? To be slaughtered for greed? Do you understand that in 1960 about 10% of all antibiotics were used in Animal Agriculture? Today it is in excess of 85%. Ever heard of COVID? Where do you think it is coming from? over 350 new zoonotic diseases since 1970? Every time you enjoy your meat is like playing Russian roulette with antibiotic resistance. The Next COVID may be the last one because of foolish choices. Do you know anything about the biodiversity of the planet? Can you see the climate changes happening? Ocean acidification? primary cause animal ag waste right into the water systems globally? All you know is eat a piece of meat and it tastes so good. Science is there and proves beyond reproach it is not healthy for humans, the planet, and the future of earth. Seriously what do you know? Longevity? Blue zones? How many more facts do we need? No different than smoking and the same people are playing the same game with your health. You support animal abuse? It is ok to eat dogs too? what about kicking them and torturing hem? Is that acceptable behavior because that is the industry you support!

@@kimberlysmith7311 Animal agriculture does have significant environmental impacts, and many argue that it contributes to environmental degradation and climate change. 1) Greenhouse gas emissions: Animal agriculture is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Livestock production, particularly cattle, produces methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Additionally, clearing land for grazing or growing animal feed releases carbon dioxide, contributing to deforestation and climate change. 2) Land and water use: Animal agriculture requires vast amounts of land and water. Raising livestock necessitates large areas for grazing or cultivating animal feed crops. This leads to deforestation, habitat loss, and soil degradation. Furthermore, animal agriculture consumes substantial amounts of water for animal hydration and crop irrigation. 3) Water pollution: The concentration of livestock in factory farming operations generates significant amounts of waste. The runoff from these operations can pollute water bodies, contributing to water pollution and eutrophication. 4) Biodiversity loss: The expansion of animal agriculture encroaches on natural habitats, leading to the loss of biodiversity. Deforestation for grazing or feed crop cultivation reduces habitat availability for various plant and animal species, contributing to species extinction.5) Antibiotic resistance: The routine use of antibiotics in animal agriculture to promote growth and prevent diseases contributes to the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This poses risks to human health as well.

@@kimberlysmith7311 The carnivore diet, which consists primarily of animal products with little to no plant-based foods, is a highly debated topic among health professionals. It is a restrictive diet with profound effects on the environment. 1) Lack of essential nutrients: By excluding plant-based foods, a carnivore diet can potentially lead to deficiencies in essential nutrients such as fiber, certain vitamins (like vitamin C), minerals (like potassium), and phytochemicals found in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. These nutrients play crucial roles in maintaining overall health and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.2) High saturated fat and cholesterol intake: A carnivore diet is typically high in saturated fats and cholesterol, which are primarily found in animal products. A diet high in saturated fat and cholesterol has been associated with an increased risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular issues. 3) Limited fiber intake: Plant-based foods are the primary source of dietary fiber, which is important for maintaining digestive health, regulating blood sugar levels, and supporting heart health. A carnivore diet can lack adequate fiber intake, potentially leading to constipation and other digestive problems. 4) Potential nutrient imbalances: Relying solely on animal products can disrupt the balance of macronutrients in the diet, particularly with regard to carbohydrates. This can potentially affect energy levels and overall metabolic health. 5) Long-term sustainability: The sustainability of a carnivore diet is questionable due to its heavy reliance on animal products. From an environmental perspective, a plant-based or plant-forward diet is generally considered more sustainable and eco-friendly. 6) Individual variations: It's important to acknowledge that individual responses to different dietary approaches can vary. Some individuals may report short-term improvements in certain health markers or conditions while following a carnivore diet. However, long-term effects and potential risks should be carefully considered. DEATH! that is how it works when you consume dead things. We are homo sapien, not homo carnivorous. In fact that is utterly ridiculous.

I recently had a conversation with a co-worker who told me about a course she took that included a unit on survival. Such as, if you're lost in the woods. Her instructor advised against foraging because a) plants are too low in calories, b) you had better be sure that what you find is edible, and c) you will burn more calories foraging than what you are likely to find. Her recommendation was to kill an animal for food because that will keep you alive. That gave me pause to look at my garden; yes, it's green and lush, and not much of it is edible.

Negatory. The majority of the calories you burn on a daily basis are from basic bodily functions. You burn more calories eating all day long than if you weren't eating at all. Only about 10% of the calories you burn come from physical exertion and exercise. This is why overweight people get frustrated when they can't lose weight by jogging on the treadmill and lifting weights for an hour a day. Perhaps after that conversation you should have done your own research. Also, no offense but how many of us ever have or will be needing to forage for survival? Food shortage, contrary to popular belief is an illusion. Look at or talk to just about any homeless person who isn't mentally ill. How many of them are skin and bones??? Getting enough calories is not an issue for them usually.

It's funny how everyone here is right but still skipping facts. Yes you can't survive foraging in the woods easily because most of us lack the skills to do so, meat or fish if available is far more substantial The lady's husband had a high cholesterol and saturated fat diet not a balanced one which is understandable in the modern context she switched him to an extreme vegan diet. (hope he's taking b12) which is great for heart related stuff. It has other issues tho like processed food like seitan and lack of a few vitamins but it'll help the gentleman. The last guy Cherry picked a fact. You burn 70 percent of your daily energy just by living this includes homeostasis, breathing etc. The rest goes for movement (depending on how much) on average it's 10 percent. While starving it's less. The reason why he doesn't see thin people on the roads is they poor didn't have enough to live not to survive. Switch countries to Africa or Afghanistan N you'll see an actual starving person. A balanced diet higher with grains, natural fiber and veg with a little protein is healthy and works better than any of these extremes. We aren't homeless or jobless are we.. We're discussing what's best for us. Good to keep that in mind.

The core message of eat more plants is genuinely a good one, especially in a world that fails to get regular fiber intake and wants to solve their dietary deficiencies with pills, but I disagree with the notion that animal products are inherently bad for us. Really whenever someone wants to argue a whole food is inherently bad for us I am immediately skeptical. It seems hypocritical to argue that nature (or God) was wise beyond its years in how it provides plants to us in such an intelligent way (ie: fiber with sugar), but then argue it took the day off when designing animal products. The big problem we seem to have in society is processing our products far beyond their original form into something else entirely. At the end of the day you can take a vegetable, bread it, and deep fry it in oil, which isn't the greatest thing for you either, but the vegetable is not the problem. One interesting thing I noticed towards the end of the video is they covered grass fed beef because people are turning to more natural products these days, and they did not seem to mention anything as far as the nutritional value, but instead focused on the environmental impact, and I'm just assuming they sidestepped that topic because naturally raised products are going to be far more nutritious than a factory raised egg or grain fed steak (such as the omega-3 profile being far higher). Really the only convincing arguments I saw to lower animal product consumption was simply the environmental impact of consuming animal products, and the humane aspect of it, which is part of the reason I have switched to more naturally raised animal products. Healthwise the idea that any animal product from a properly raised animal that lives a natural life (ie: pasture raised chickens, grass fed farm animals, wild caught fish, etc) is problematic to consume regularly seems laughable, which is probably the biggest problem with the pitching of this WFPB diet concept is that it fails to outline an acceptable amount of animal product consumption, but the vibe I got from it felt like it really wanted people to live as close to a vegan lifestyle as possible. To be fair though there were some comments about it being fine occasionally (such as the child getting Mcdonald's at a birthday party).

A carnivore, animal based, diet is the best for metabolic and hormonal health and is the best in providing bioavailable nutrients. Food is medicine and many health issues can be reversed and eliminated. I would recommend also looking into intermittent fasting and the benefits can come from implementing this into a healthy lifestyle.

The 100% truth part is eating plants is healthy and all, but there are some cherry picked half truth. It's about the meat. They cherry picked info about the worst part of meat processing and about meat nutrition. Yes the doctors are valid, but the questions are narrated towards recommending veganism. I believed if i asked those doctors in this documentary directly, they would not actually recommend veganism. But this is an interesting documentary, fascinating my doctor said. Local grown veg, nuts and berries for vegans. Local grass fed eggs, meat... for the rest. Low carb works. Queen Elisabeth II is a great example. Dr. Breg DC has good quality videos on vegan, and animal-based keto. Does not matter that much if you go plant based or animal based. The goal is: Perennial plant sources of protein, fat and fiber may just be the answer to the climate problem, alongside with the solution named: permaculture... Pasture raised animals with rotational grazing also help with carbon sequestration... The big industry does not whant to know this truths, and pays people to say lies, because it is big businesses.

When you say that chickens and chicken eggs are unhealthy because they are fed corn and soy commercially grown, than aren’t you saying we shouldn’t eat any commercially grown fruits and vegetables ? Help me make sense of that thought process???
@TheAdventuresofDrewandAmanda
@TheAdventuresofDrewandAmanda 2 жыл бұрын
Corn and soy aren’t the only fruits and vegetables though. There are many vegetables other than corn and soy that are excellent, commercially grown or not. Organic or locally grown is best but nobody said commercially grown veggies are bad. If we fed chickens veggies they’d be much healthier than if we feed them corn and soy. Plus the corn and soy they get is not for human consumption. It’s lower grade than the corn and soy people eat.

Chickens (and other animals) get antibiotics regularly, and they live short and horrible lives, full of pain, stress and anxiety, which also increase the cortisol levels in their bodies. - (These things are also linked to higher risk for cancer), - so when you eat them you get all that Shit it your body too. Bon appetit 🤣 !!! ( Hope it helps to make sense, and if it doesn't, after you'll get cancer it certainly will,.. but if you'll avoid eating animals, you'll also lower your risk for disease )....

*eh* Have you seen a traditional chicken pen? What do the chicken eat? Grass, worms, seed.. For feed they get all sorts of seeds, egg shells (yes, they consume their own eggs - as indented by mother nature), and maybe some food scraps from the garden (e.g. potato n carrot peel). If you'd ever tasted (and seen) a traditional farm egg and compared to one that comes from one of those industrial torture houses, you wouldn't ask that question. (And likely refuse to eat that bs from the supermarket.) 😢 Some corn and soy here and there probably would be good/ok for the chicken, but not exclusively so. I mean, Corn and soy are demonstrably good for humans, and yet a diet of exclusively corn&soy would be an utter disaster, right. 🤷

IMO too much is made of lowering BP - similar to the fuss about lowering cholesterol. The last time my BP was that low, after regular fasting; they would not allow me to donate blood. Salt is needed to maintain a high enough blood volume, and with it high enough BP, which for example improves exercise performance. All-cause mortality is linked to lower, not higher BP. The lower one's blood volume & BP, the less blood (with O2, nutrients, immune cells etc.) is delivered all around the body, and waste products are not removed as efficiently.

Of the one or two handfuls of 'nutrition documentaries' that I have watched in recent years, this documentary might be the best: It's uber-informative and extremely understandable for the average person who either knows little about nutrition and/or may have a passing interest. This is the documentary that I believe I would use to introduce friends or family to nutrition in the 'attempt-to-hell'-> (much like Spock of Starfleet...I too never developed much of a knack for utilizing "colorful metaphors") to educate them or to 'sell them' and convince them why a predominant plant-based diet or way of life is very sound and logical and far superior to the diet and foods that esp. we "Westerners" eat...

Low carbs diet is not about high protein, it is about high fat. Low carbs diet needs moderate protein. You can't even get the fact right Dr Pamela. In low carbs diet, people need to have protein with healthy fat together. Low carbs diet doesn't push protein, it pushes fat. Compare to Keto diet videos, these so called scientists have a lot of empty talks rather than solid evidence and data. Dr Pamela, kindly explain also why Japanese can be so healthy while they eat a lot of fish? These scientists can't even differentiate between HDL, LDL large buoyant and LDL small dense. My mother eats only fish in her life for 60 years and never had any chronic disease and still have low blood pressure. My friend who was a vegan for 2 years, eventually needed to switch to eat meat because of B12 deficiency.

Everyone needs a diet they can sustain and that works for their body - we're not one-size-fits-all. Humans around the world have created workable, health-maintaining diets from all kinds of different food combinations. The only diet that seems universally to ::not:: work is one that consists predominantly of processed commercial 'foods' - what Michael Pollan calls 'edible food-like substances'.
