If you watched a full race from start to finish, you’d realize it’s as technical as any sport you’ve ever watched! You will also realize it ultimately becomes nothing about “driving around in circles”! There is sooo much strategy, aerodynamics, tire pressures, springs, shocks and tape on the grill that can make 1-2 tenths of a second difference per lap. At Daytona and Talledega, where they are running close to 200 mph, that’s 1 football field per second!

Been a fan for 15 years and I’ve never been as impressed with the cup schedule as I am for this year’s. Today’s race was an awesome throwback to NASCAR’s early days, and the batch of road courses are helping NASCAR evolve to a new level (so hyped for COTA - stock cars on a 3-mile FIA Grade 1 circuit, heck yes!). Throwing teams into uncharted territory often makes for great racing. Let’s hope the season continues to be this incredible! 🏁🏁🏁

Great racing. I've always been a fan of dirt oval racing. (Beats NASCAR any time.) I'm amazed it took NASCAR 50 years to get back to it. Think make a hotdog or two.

Joey doesn't have the fan base of other drivers....but I think he races harder--each and every lap of every single race--than anyone in the field.

He wears down a lot of the field because of that. Love seeing him win the big events.

I love that they're bringing dirt tracks back, but at Bristol? It's one of the most iconic short tracks AND the dirt wears away eventually. It'd be wayy cooler if they'd go race at a true dirt track

I hope they take this and add on to it. Bring back some classic 50/60s stock cars, add some modern safety features and have one a year as an exhibition race for PR

If the official NASCAR released highlight video is 10 minutes of wrecks that's not much of a highlight video. NASCAR will never admit it but after years of perfect races at Eldora this was about as close to a disaster as you could get.

Hockey: "We have the Winter Classic" (Games held outdoors in open air) NASCAR: "Well, we are going back to dirt races at Bristol!" Football: "Ummm...We could use nerf footballs or we can move the field goal posts back to the front? Make the players wear leather helmets?"

I would keep the Bristol Spring dirt race but move at night in 2022 instead of day race. Bristol Spring Dirt Race need to move to night race in 2022 in April and I would keep the Bristol Fall Race in 2022.
