Great video. I really enjoyed watching it, Russian people seem to be very friendly and they smile a lot. It makes me want to come to Russia. :)

Russians are learning to smile at non Russians. Normally they don't smile like westerners. It makes them feel like the village idiot and they say "a smile without reason is a waste". It's considered insincere. I happen to agree, it's annoying to have everyone smiling at you when they don't really mean it and couldn't care less.

The food festival reminded me of the ones we have in the US, very family oriented, lots of food vendors with music entertainment. I'm not a big alcohol drinker but many festivals have alcohol served, however, we don't see the alcohol related violence at the festivals. As for the oysters, my family was raised eating oysters except that I can't stand oysters. Looks like people had a great time, a lot of fun, thanks for posting and sharing.

Oh dear, how Russian go to the food festival without piroski and kvas ? I used to study in Leningrad, back to early 80s, and our breakfast in hurry and on the way to the university, was always piroski either filled with pork or cabbage, actually the latter was my favorite! Sad to hear from some of my friends who visit Russia recently, they said no more piroski on the street of St Petersburg and even hard to find my lovely refreshment of old times - kvas!

Russia is a country that flies into space, builds airplanes, ships and nuclear plants and has its own search engine... It would be naive to think Russians can't can produce any pathetic Swiss cheese if they really want to. Except they won't call it "Swiss" cheese.
@WRXMSK4 жыл бұрын
@@igory3789 He probably shares liberalist bullshit ideas spread by scumbags like Navalniy. But in reality Russia did replace imported food with a local one, and made this as an answer to the sanctions imposed by US and their European obedient doggies. Russia is becoming more and more self sufficient and that's good. Even regarding European, especially Italian cheeses, which I do like much, at first I was quite upset, but after a couple of years I discovered that our local cheesemakers are able to produce cheeses almost as good as the Italian ones. This regards mostly to soft cheeses, and there is a lot of space for improvement of the quality of aged cheeses however

Great video indeed. Very realistic. A valuable piece of evidence precisely because of its unpolished character. Not sure what exactly the vlogger referred to by saying the Russian government "imposed sanctions against its own people". As far as I know, the Russian government has been providing incentives for the development of domestic farming, in response to Western sanctions. And this has been a big success, particularly given the decades of failed agricultural policies during the Soviet and early post-Soviet period.

@@RussianPlus Here is the recipe for you Slava. This is a fairly traditional recipe with beans. Some don't like it with beans but beans do add to the flavor and comfort factor. It is a perfect meal on cold winter days! Kyle might be able to help you with this. ) Cowboy Chili Ingredients: 2 pounds ground beef 1 large onion chopped 2 10 oz. cans Rotel (we used chunky), drained 1 Rotel can water (these are simply a can of diced chile peppers) 1 15 oz can tomato sauce 1 16 oz can kidney beans, drained (or your bean choice) 1/3 cup chile powder (not sure if you have chile power or a substitute in your city but it needs something like chili powder ½ tsp cumin 2 tsp oregano powder 2 tsp paprika or smoked paprika 2 tsp salt 3 tsp minced garlic Instructions In a large pot brown the hamburger over medium high heat. Season with salt and pepper or seasoning of your choice, to taste. As the meat begins to brown, stir in the onions. Continue cooking until the meat has fully browned and onions are tender. If there is a lot of excess grease, drain. Stir in the Rotel, water, tomato sauce, beans, chipotle peppers or relish. Stir in the seasonings. Adjust taste, if needed. Cover and cook over medium-high heat until it reaches a boil. Boil a couple minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm with cheese, onions, sour cream, etc. (You may add shredded cheese and/or cream on top.) Enjoy.

Man, be proud of your country!! The govt didn’t impose sanctions on its own people. Instead, the government saw the stupidity in giving away Russia’s foreign exchange to other countries and helping making them rich whilst Russia was being treated like trash. Necessity is the mother of invention, as they say and the reverse sanctions has helped Russia become self reliant and developed its own industries instead of relying on others and being subjected to unjustified sanctions. Plenty of of other countries facing the same situation should learn from Russia. No one can do it better than yourself and Russia has proven that.
