Top 5 signs Greg is your coach (once more for the weekend viewers!): 1. Your favourite snack is a large bag of Smart Pop (12 cups of food and only 260 calories!). 2. When he reviews a wellness influencer’s channel, you yell “CICO” at your screen at least three times. 3. You’re actually happy when you feel bloated because it means you’ve eaten lotsa low calorie dense foods. 4. Your own laser vision when you estimate others’ body fat percentages is slowly improving. 5. You say, “harder than last time” to yourself before every workout.

3:44 I honestly think there should be something like "The basics of nutrition" in primary or secondary school. Plenty of people get fat because they just don't know or they are being overfed by their parents/grandparents. That 500kcal "coffee" from Starbucks every morning, that little 600kcal Mcflurry shake.. a bag of rice cakes at work every day, because "dry food" without visible fat is won't make you gain weight. Sometimes very educated and smart people are subject to this. Friend at work was complaining that she is gaining weight, I noticed she's using a lot of butter (750 kcal/100g, she was using about 30-40g every day), and told her to switch it to this delicious spreadable cheese I like (little over 200kcal/100g). She was in shock that she stopped gaining weight, and after couple weeks she lost 1.5kg.
@D_Huckins3 жыл бұрын
I was just thinking that. They never went over types of food and how to eat, implementing calories and talking about how exercise burns more calories. All of that stuff is so important and I had to research it myself
@RyanH21983 жыл бұрын
We all had health class, but the problem is they don’t teach you much, all they would teach you is the food pyramid and that was it. They need to teach people about calories and how if you don’t watch your calories you can get fat because at the end of the day it’s calories in vs calories out. I’m sure there were plenty of kids who could have benefited from this info earlier in life than waiting until age 25 to find out about this stuff

Rice cakes are an outright scam. Just recently got down to actually looking at their weight-per-package and nutrition-per-100g, and jeeeeeeez it's not that far from yir basic potato chips. Just tastes more like cardboard.
@peejayfromhell3 жыл бұрын
@@ElijsDima exactly. Super calorie dense, dry carbs that make you hungrier as you eat them, just like cereal. At least cereal can be tasty, and some pack plenty of fiber and micronutrients, rice cakes taste like cardboard while having zero nutritional value.
@2lowkey1003 жыл бұрын
Elijs Dima Gunna have to disagree there. I have only recently started eating rice cakes after avoiding them due to Greg’s old school videos saying that rice cakes were BS, but I saw Kenny Fischer make a video on the top 5 anabolic recipes, and it included rice cakes with tuna and various salad/sauce (from Greg’s new cookbook). I tried it, and realised that switching from a wrap to rice cakes for the same calories, significantly increased my level of satiation after the meal, and was much higher volume. However though I do agree that the nutrition is far inferior to things like a high protein wrap.

@@bubbamaster3116 There are many different ways to weigh yourself as a wheelchair user. I'm in recovery from an eating disorder and I'm working on getting over some fear foods. I've been negotiating the ice cream situation for months - what's clean, dairy free, sugar free ... ? Haagan Dazs is the cleanest ice cream out there, but if you don't want dairy or eggs, then what? Halo Top, Cool Way, all the keto ice creams either have eggs or sugar or both. Some of the vegan ice creams have super weird ingredients like potato starch or pea protein - yuck! Finally I've narrowed it down to two: Coconut Bliss and Nada Moo! Clean ingredients, no refined sugar, no dairy or eggs, not a ton of additives or stabilizers! So far I've only tried the vanilla Nada Moo - highly enjoyed! A pint of mint chocolate chip in the freezer. So, in my terror of ice cream I have managed to incorporate yogurt a couple days a week, which I'm loving. Full fat of course, only dairy, sugar, fruit, bacterial culture in the ingredients. I mix a fruit flavoured with plain, delish.

I think, that video with doctor telling about how differnce in requirements reg. satured fat in people on trt and not on trt for natural hormone production is relevant to consider. People on trt can seemingly only tollerate very little saturated fat as the main reason for saturated fat needs seem to be in reg. to testosterone production. Derek MPMD tried a diet from Stan Efferson and found, that even moderate saturated fatintake tilted his cholesterol heavliy to the danger side of levels. Stan is probably allso on trt but may be advising natural guys for this diet. Try to look into it, as this is what I recall and may be sligthly wrong, but try to ask Derek himself if interested. I am sure he will be glad to help you out. Great video by the way.

I’m severely lactose intolerant so I haven’t had ice cream in years. I don’t miss it at all. It made me so sick. Never again.

I love eating french toast but I realized it's a lot of calories after watching Greg make french toast I substituted the WHOLE EGG'S with EGG WHITES replaced the SUGER with Splenda packs and mixed it up and saved it Went from 650 calories to 350 Calories and I used a Milk low in fat and it dramatically reduced the calories unfortunately my family don't have access or afford to have blueberries or fruit but hay make do with what you got

A very good way to mesure your calorie is to weight everything at the begining and to try to add food that are very easy to estimate, like for me am eating wrap, but in my diet i included them as unity, so i just have eat 2 wrap and i know am on track

I knew he was going to shill his cookbook in this video. I cook my veggies in with the chicken and I add water. The veggies end up drawing in the chicken oils and it flavors them so nicely.
