This is so refreshing. I fell down the keto, intermittent fasting, carnivore wormhole these last couple years. I haven't been eating fruit to avoid "fructose" and I haven't been losing weight either. Ribeye steaks, heavy cream coffee, peanut butter, and loads of cheese in a 4-6 hr eating window is killing me. Then I end up binging. I miss eating fruit. I wish I could afford to enroll in coach Doucet's program

@mementomori49722 жыл бұрын
@@lisadeangelo244 How is that "protein sparing modified fasting" working out for you? I followed coach Gregs diet, with protein ice cream (live saver), anabolic french toast, lots of lean meat with salad (low cal. dressing), fruit, protein pancackes. etc. etc. working out (not insanely) and watching my calories of course. Using air fryer and panini maker allot to prepare my food. Lost 15 lbs in two months. (actually more, but I don't count the water/glycogen weight). Can finally see my abs. Feeling really good.

Love your channel, Greg. Discovered you from another guy, I can’t remember who at the moment, who recommended you as one of the best coaches on KZbin. Sure enough, I love your no-nonsense, no bullshit advice delivered with an irreverent style. You’re my man. How about some advice for older guys like me? I’m 69.

The thing about avocados is that as long as you're aware of how many calories it adds to your daily calories you can decide for yourself if it's worth it or not. I usually eat avocado to my lunch at work in order to feel satisfied longer. And I would much rather get my fats in a healthy way from avocado or nuts than accidentally binging on some other high fat food. I know that fiber is good as well, but it doesn't fill you up as fast as high fat foods. By that I mean, fiber needs some time to get further down in the stomach before the body realizes that you've been fed, while fatty foods hits you with feeling full at once which helps you stop eating. At least that's my reflection of it, avocado helped me get over my binging earlier this summer because it filled me up so well.
