I am watching this in preparation of being my dads personal chef after his liver transplant. I took cooking as a highschool course but I wanted to refresh my knowledge as I will be preparing food for someone who is immune compromised. Thank you for the helpful tip and information I feel far more prepared

Everyone leaving the water running while washing hands, giving a shit about wasting water, it should be a requirment to have sensor for water release

There's no more or no less water on earth than there was millions of years ago. There's a reason it's a cycle. Precipitation, evaporation and condensation.

Excellent answer! Besides, the concern reg. water scarcity is connected to contamination from agricultural industries (pesticides, antibiotics etc) and manufacturing (pollutants, chemicals). In CA agriculture uses 80% of the yearly water supply, so asking individual households and small businesses to save water is pretty pointless. The problem in CA is overfarming - the higher the output from livestock & crops the more $$ agricultural companies make. Higher output is only possible by using more freshwater & through the pumping of groundwater. There's nothing wrong with farming (we need food!) and making money per se, but many Californians aren't aware that the real problem is water overuse by agriculture. We don't have a water scarcity problem, we have an overuse problem by agriculture/farming specifically. Cut down on agricultural production and our self-inflicted “water crisis” is solved. CA wouldn't even have a water scarcity problem if big agriculture reduced their output! This is 100% the truth. Right now CA agriculture is producing food not just for domestic consumers but also for international markets. Overfarming can result in water scarcity as a lot of CA water is redirected from the Delta & from water reservoirs to farming in the San Joaquin Valley. Through a system of canals and aqueducts. The CA State government benefits from the tax revenue that the agricultural sector generates. So the government & agriculture have a mutual interest in keeping production high EVEN when that requires huge amounts of water. The State brainwashes Californians into thinking WE are the problem. Ordinary households have to save water so that the agricultural sector can use their share while we are being guilt tripped into saving water, even cancelling people for watering their lawns! If people use less water in the homes, agriculture can use more and hence make more money. Even though they are already using 80% and if they scaled down output we could easily still feed our population. It's one of the biggest lies ever told! Anyway, sorry I'm getting carried away but this issue really bothers me! Californians should be turning on the government's water policies reg. regulation, rather than on each other. We are being duped, big time! Water pollution would be something to lecture others about if we have to lecture each other about anything i.e protecting the water by thinking about what types of chemicals we use in the home. Even though we have technology that removes pollutants in drinking water it's impossible to remove everything, at least at this stage. If we keep polluting our water it can become unsafe for human consumption, THAT is a problem. Again, most of the pollution comes from agriculture & industry. Simply washing our hands with environmentally friendly soap isn't anything we need to freak out about. If interested watch “River’s End: CA Latest Water War, 2021. Thanks for reading, I didn't intend on going on a rant like this!😅🤓
