I work at a family shelter which tends to serve many Ethiopian families throughout the year. The mom's have taught me how to cook the foods, and also have shared their culture with me. It's the best food in the world, and I even prefer it to American food. I can cook it pretty well now, and even the mom's continue to teach new dishes to me. PLUS -- Traditionally made Ethiopian coffee is like nothing America can ever offer! Fortunately, we have many Ethiopian markets and restaurants here in Seattle.😄

I am from Seattle! I have hit up some awesome Ethiopia "deli/markets" but would like to explore more... what is your favorite dish and places you can recommend? My father actually lives in Addis. His favorite dish is the thibs? Sp

Jessica H I’m in Seattle too, I love Ahadu restaurant. There’s also Enat very close by. And near 125th and Lake City Way there’s a little store called Senait where you can get green coffee to roast yourself, injera, teff flour, and all the unusual spices that you can’t find anywhere else. If you’re interested in the food the lady there is really helpful.

Thats very comendable but its outrageous that a scumbag like this can go to a country that people starve to death in to do a food review show. They eat what is afforded to them...this is exploitation in its purest form. It shows how much some people really care.

i'm looking at all the thumbs down and sure there are tons of uploads on youtube that deserve thumbs down but not this guy. mark wiens is hands-down an awesome, honest to goodness, good person. even if the food is not what interests me, it takes a lot of work to film, edit and upload one of these videos. it deserves a thumbs up. period. ty for keeping the world on top of the food culture. the guy wearing the suit jacket working at the butchery at the beginining had me laughing lol. oh man and that dish, tihlo, looks soooo good. i'm not at marks level of spicy but wow...he just makes it look all so yummy. i doubt i'll be able to find it in nyc. great video. ty!

You said that so well. I'd love to know why these people choose to tick the thumb down instead of thumbs up or nothing at all. They must have quite sad lives being negative.
