Loving the more frequent uploads lately! When I was younger I used to fish all the time at the dock where my family had a camping wagon. And in august the mackerel would bite like crazy up here in Norway. It's been years since I was fishing last time, but these videos has really wanted me to get back into it. I hope this summer I can do it again, and this time I'll experiment with a bunch of butter lol.

Trolling for Kokes is an addiction of mine. Put a 3/4oz to 1oz trolling sinker above your flasher on your flat line and troll 75-90 feet back at 1.5-2mph. 1.5 seems to be the sweet spot. Wedding rings tipped with shoepeg corn is pure gold. Add garlic to some corn for trout and days the fishing is slow. On your graph you won't see Kokes, look for the plankton. It'll be solid grey/green on your graph from the surface down to 25feet. Good luck!

Great content, just a friendly FYI, Ive heard you guys comment a few times about these fish being planters, that is true but i believe they plant them as fingerlings so they are only about 4 inches long at the time theyre planted, the fish your catching in this video are most likely 3rd year fish, which means they were planted in the spring of 2019. So they have not been eating hatchery fish food for two years. Anyways, thanks for the videos!

Love this. Realistically for cost analysis, you need to take into account all of your equipment and licensing. The good thing is as long as you aren't spending a ton on gear every fish you catch brings that cost down more and more. But realistically even though I grow a lot of my own Veg, Fish, and Hunt. I'd say all in all if I'm lucky breaking even on the cost of food. Granted though I know my food isn't as laden with crap as most mass-produced proteins and veg so it's a food quality issue as well.
@imadetheuniverse4fun
@imadetheuniverse4fun 2 жыл бұрын
Depends on what most of your meals look like. If you want to eat fish? Yeah, fishing them yourself can absolutely cut the cost down provided you can catch enough to make the overhead worth it. If you eat mostly rice, beans, lentils, frozen veggies? There's no way you're beating store prices by fishing or hunting or anything else really.

Buddy of mine raises a few pigs and cattle a year for harvest and I will get my ground beef from him and pork if I want. Even though the Canadian economy is pretty much in the tank I don't support large farms that pump the livestock with antibiotics and hormones. Keeps myself healthier and my family. Seems like this is inflation that can occur by a rise in demand rather than a rise in production costs. Which is totally determined by companies raising the price of their goods knowing people have more money to spend. A way to offset this is having more choices in what we buy. Fishing as an example, we can support more small businesses. :)

@@bankfishinglife9797 Kinda off there... True about gas prices and such but what you lack to see is it is oil and gas prices that have caused inflation over the time span you have brought up. When the price of oil/gas goes up, so does the cost of everything else. The oil and gas industry wants you to think the contrary. It takes oil and gas to get the products where they need to go. Also, in the past 20 years a shift has been made to produce electricity from natural gas. This has been driving up electricity prices. Electricity is used to make stuff or process stuff. So the inflation we have seen is solely caused by the oil/gas industry and we are going to see that in the near future because of how Texas mishandled their electric grid and the outage hurt many refineries causing millions in damage that they will roll the cost to us.

Correct me if im wrong, scoring the skin helps to prevent fish from curling up. Also helps to soak in more flavor

the reason everything cost so much rn is becuase of how much money the government has to print due to stimulus checks, thus inflation happens and prices soar but your savings stay the same.

Who else realizes food, gas, and everything else has prices going up? By far one of ur best fishing videos with the best knowledge. Love the more uploads you been doing lately. I have a family of 7 and food for a week is ridiculously expensive. I go broke just feeding my family alone 😔. I’m a female and love the outdoors especially fishing. Thanks for the tips. Always excited to watch ur uploads, watching ur videos makes my day.

You could have marinated it with the paste for 10 minutes. it is how you cook the fish that makes so much difference with the taste. Great video and catching.

I'm 31 my friend, american as a an eagle. I used to say I wished more people thought like us through lineage. Nah, I do great for myself but don't get me twisted. I can find a meal that was just hiding, swimming, flying, running or sitting pretty bud. Cheers

near the 128? And do you need a boat or do you just go from shore? Been wanting to head over there, but I see that these guys hit it after it was recently stocked. . . Is that why it was good? I've never seen anyone get that many out of this hole..

Love your videos. I dont even eat fish. I do eat prawns, lobster and certain crab. But my wife is Thai and she made snake fish last week. It smelled like chicken, meat looked like chicken and i tried it....for first time in my life I had fish I loved!! Its like a juicier softer chicken. Honestly people say stuff tastes like chicken all the time and I disagree. But this was a better version of chicken!! Please try snake fish!! Surprisingly cheap here in England.
