Saw him live in 88 at the Comedy Catch in Chattanooga, Tn. He's been my favorite since. Met him after the show and got his autograph. Only time I've ever gone to a comedy show there. I was at the show in Talladega when he fell, and can confirm that it happened exactly the way he said it did. The audience did help him up, but there for about 15 seconds no one really knew what was going on. It was a great show, and I hope to get a chance to see him live again.

I've been listening to James Gregory doing comedy for years. He is billed as The Funniest Man in America, and I truly believe that. He takes normal, ordinary, simple life events and looks at them in ways most people have never thought of before, and the result is hilarious. I remember in the 50s when margarine could only be sold in Minnesota (a dairy state) without the yellow food coloring. It was white and looked like Crisco. It came in a thick plastic bag with a small bubble of food coloring inside that you had to break open by squeezing it and then knead the bag until the coloring was dispersed and you cut the bag open and squeezed it into a bowl.
