@timdodge6358 I wanted to compliment Chad and I would say "You took the words right out of my mouth"....but... that concise, beautifully constructed comment cannot be beaten and most certainly wouldn't have been formed in MY brain to flow bodaciously out of MY mouth. In other words, you are one heck of a writer if that one comment is any indication of your enormous talent. In an age when the English language is slaughtered it was refreshing to read something that, #1, I could actually understand, and #2, beautifully expressed the well deserved compliment for this "Funny, funny Guy"! I don't know what your day job is but I think writing should become your avocation! I think you could take the stock market report and weave it into something interesting. In the social media world, where unkind, toxic downers pound the keys with cutting remarks, this Grandma just wanted to take the time to give you 'a pat on the back" for your talent and kind words. ✨✨God bless you Tim✨✨! If it only takes "bad" words ruin a comedy set for you, then you don't "love comedy", you just enjoy a specific genre(s) of comedy. To love something, by definition, is to accept it completely. When people tell me they "love music", I'll usually put on (or play something if I have my guitar) some of the softer metal bands I listen to. Usually, they say they don't like whatever it is I put on\play. Then I tell them, "yeah... You don't love music. You just like some kinds of music." For the record, I don't claim to love comedy. I just enjoy most kinds of stand-up comedy. I do LOVE music though. I have yet to hear a genre of true music that I don't like. (Grindcore and "animal made music" isn't music, it's noise. By definition music cannot be atonal and\or discordant).
