I read your food plan but, knowing I could not eat 1.5lbs of food at a time - I'm 78 years old and my appetite is not as big as it once was - I have devised my own version. I have 2 meals per day - mostly veg, some protein, (mostly fish and occasionally chicken} nuts & seeds, oats.Olive, rapeseed or avocado oil, full fat greek yoghurt' Not a lot of fruit and a low intake of carbs as I have Type 2 Diabetes. I do have black coffee - can't start the day without it!! I've found that rice cakes make great avocado 'toast' !! I drink loads of water - with lemon or flavoured sparkling water. No snacks. I am never hungry. Restaurants? I check the menu beforehand and I can usually put a main course together - I ask the waiter to leave things off if they don't 'fit'. No starter or dessert. I have some weight to lose to help my diabetes but I will use this as maintenance when I get to my desired weight. It works for me and 'serves me well' xx On another note - I stopped smoking about 40 years ago. I just decided one evening that I was going to stop, I put the pack and lighter in a box and told myself that they were there but I didn't need them. I found them years later and threw them away. For a few weeks, every time I felt the craving I told myself I could have a cigarette after I had done this or that. I went and something/anything and in about 1 minute the craving had passed. I kept doing that until I didn;t get the cravings any more. It worked for me!!

You are really promoting … accountability…responsibility… common sense. It’s rather mind-blowing because I (at age 68) see that the diet you are promoting is pretty much exactly the same one I (and many people as old as I am) grew up eating. Basic, portioned and balanced. I am so used to looking for the millions of details of whatever new diet plan I am currently trying that my knee jerk reaction to your two simple pages is, AND…….???? It is absolutely and shockingly refreshing that there IS NO AND! It’s as simple and basic as you have so beautifully stated in your two charts and many videos. So… thank you, Lulu…. For bringing me back to”home”. I feel like I have been released from the prison called “Craziness”, and I am now left with just me, myself and I and no one else to put the responsibility or blame on, to make me right. ❤😊

I’m 60 years old and am morbidly obese. I have dieted my way up to this. I like Lulu started my first diet in junior high, remember dexatrim? I have done them all you name it and I have probably done it. All the diets have done is make me bigger. Why????? I’ve never made changes towards healthy eating. I loose 50 gain 75, last time I lost 75 gained 125. Some of you are thinking that is crazy, but it isn’t because they were diets. Lulu has done exactly what I needed to do, she made a lifestyle change that has worked for her. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you make the changes it will work. Hats off Lulu for your commitment and staying with it and your energy shows what can happen when you make the change and stick with it. Lulu how long have you been on this plan?

Lulu - this is not a question - but a huge thank you for your food plan. I've just over being overweight and eating sugar. While I didn't really go looking for a diet plan - I tuned in for your travel videos - several different things you said just resonated with me. Especially "does this serve me" - it's a great mantra I can use when thinking about the food I eat. One thing about your food plan tho; I've been trying to eat that much food and find I get soooo full, or just get bored of eating. And, I always thought I was a big eater - LOL. In the last six weeks of following your plan, I've lost 10 pounds. I hope in a year I can say I'm down to a good weight. Again, THANK YOU for sharing your plan. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures.

Thanks LuLu. I’ve lost 80 lbs in 2020 - 2021. I’ve since gained 20 back. I’m vegan, whole foods only, so this plan can fit me to a “T”. I tried your plan’s breakfast this morning on my favorite, oatmeal. Of course, I had to cut down on the amount of oatmeal I prepare, but that’s okay. I like to add soy milk, but I can do soy yogurt as a protein, but I also like a bit of walnuts. So I measured 4 oz of yogurt and 1 ounce of walnuts. A-OK. I still put in my flax meal as it is so nutritious, 1 Tbs. I also weighed 1/2 the blueberries and 1/2 date sauce which I make myself for the fruit. Finally cinnamon, and I still have my wholesome, nutritious and delicious oatmeal! Thanks again.

Hi, Lulu, 'does it serve me well?' is the question, I meanwhile ask me almost daily, also inspired by your song. If I forget about that, I mostly regret it after. I’ve found 'my way' over the years, starting at 26, giving up cigarettes, and then meat, sugar, white flour, alcohol. I've a garden with veggies and fruit, made my own bread, noodles, fermented veggies… Sugar came back, in small amounts, but it didn’t serve me well…I got diabetes and am a bit overweight. I think, diabetes is in my family, maybe it’s the age, too (almost 70), but that doesn’t mean, I can’t support myself and change things. It’s a lovely coincidence that I found you and can study your way. Next step waiting for me… 👟👟, bringing my own food around🫙🥦🫛🥒. Thank you for sharing, love, Monika❣

I have such a sugar addiction -- both physically and emotionally -- that I really don't know how I would handle going 100% sugar free. I love your approach to socializing and going to restaurants; to snacking; to being comfortable saying "no" when offered food, etc. One question I have that wasn't covered here is why you take so many supplements when you eat such a well balanced diet. Lulu, I experience severe stomach aches usually a couple times a month. So I nibble on crackers and Sprite. During your past 10 years what ,if anything, do you eat/drink to calm an upset stomach ?
@LulusWay645 ай бұрын
I have never had an upset stomach. I don't think flour and sugar (crackers and sprite) are the cure for an upset stomach. I absolutely positively with never put those two things in my mouth. I don't know what you need, but perhaps speak with your health care professional.

Which video did you speak about the best place to buy Dandy Blend? Ordered a sample pack from them today for $2 to try it.
@LulusWay645 ай бұрын
I found it less expensive at a local little health food store. it turns out that the one that was half the price was not organic, but I wasn't comparing apples to apples. but the non-organic one is GMO free and that's suits me well, so I'll get it there going forward!

So...we are humans and all go to the bathroom, so I'll just ask. I have eaten so so many vegetables in the last week. Obviously, a pound twice a day. Drinking alot more water. Bathroom is not happening. Im afraid of the moment it catches up if it does. You mentioned in another video that our body will get used to the veggies. Is that what you were referring to? Have you heard others suggestions to get the train out of the station?

I also struggled with that last time I changed my diet, my doctor said walking should help and also put me on Benefiber.
@karenbarrows61275 ай бұрын
I will run to the store tomorrow and get Benefiber. Thank you. I'm getting a bit nervous. I would have thought it would be the opposite with all of these greens and cabbage type veggies. Ugh.

I don't know why you are having this issue. you may want to speak with your health care professional if it persists. 😊

Hi Lulu! Thanks so much for sharing your eating plan. I have a question if you dont mind. The edamame spaghetti under your description. That's counted as a protein, correct, and would 2 oz be 1 protein? Thanks so much. 😊
@LulusWay645 ай бұрын
it would be 6 oz. of cooked pasta. because edamame is a bean and beans are 6 oz. ENJOY!
@joanneinavan5 ай бұрын
I didn't see pasta on the plan.

@@joanneinavan it's not on the plan. yet is one finds an item that may work under the plan, they ask about it.

Bright Line Eating is almost identical to this food plan. Its great! I did BLE by watching KZbin videos from the lady who started it and read her book. Total investment $25 and my time studying it. It helped me lose 25lbs and keep my food sugar addiction in check. I enjoy your videos too! ❤❤

A question for those eating based on this food plan, are you eating an entire 16 oz of veg at both lunch and dinner?
