I don't believe in giving up quickly, but I do believe you're the only one that knows the correct decision, so I'm not telling you to leave, but wanted to offer support if it's the right time for you. Yes, it was scary, but the past 12 years have been wonderful and I'm so glad I took my life back. I've stayed single and couldn't be happier.

Dont be around or take any addictive substance or person that wants you to be dependant on their opinion of you. 6. Have alone time in nature 7. I'm 28 and have a lot to learn in life, but so far some things that I'm noticing is that 1) I won't be everyone's cup of tea so I should just be myself, be kind and not harm others, and the rest is not in my control 2) there is no one right way to live life so don't compare your life with others 3) maintain and cherish your relationships with your close friends 4) enjoy the present day 5) have a goal, without a goal I feel like one fumbles through life. I think ppl can get overwhelmed with endless possibilities, so narrowing it down to a few goals helped me tremendously

Always listen to your gut feelings especially when comes the time to choose a partner. Don't stick to your mistake hoping situations may change for the better. Make decisions to address whatever inflict your liife. The sooner the better. Don't hold grudges against anyone because almost everyone will come to a córner of their life where they reflect back and repent of their wrongdoings. You only hurt yourself by not forgiving them. Don't try to please people, they don't even care, simple do what is right and kind. Be open, listen, observe, compare, pick what's right, and let go the rest. When the road ahead of you is not clear, ask God to lead you in the right direction. He will always guide you if you invite Him. Have faith and always be kind to others.

My 7 pieces of advice; 1. Becareful of the relationships you have. 2. Plan ahead, life flys by one minute you are 18 the next 65. You need to be ready to take care of the older you. Not just financially, but with your health. It's never too early to start. 3. Know better, do better. You know the right thing to do. Don't give into lying to yourself. Or giving into a person who isn't being wise or has your best interest in their heart. That is including yourself. Think ahead, where will this lead me. 4. Think positive, be positive. Nothing is perfect, but try to find the positive. 5. You are important and you are valuable. Do not let anyone lead you around by the nose. Don't be selfish and nasty, but do not let anyone make you a lesser person. 6. Do not depend on someone to be your happiness. No one lives forever, or stays forever. 7. Educate yourself.

I don't have children, but this is what I would I would tell any young woman: 1. Learn to be independent. You may be alone at times and you need to be able to navigate the world by yourself. 2. Respect yourself and establish healthy boundaries. Respect the boundaries of others. 3. Education beyond High School is important. Find out what your talents, skills and abilities are and cultivate them. 4. Learn about financial matters and don't rely on others to do it for you. It takes one major event to become destitute. 5. Work hard, always ask questions and do the jobs others think are beneath them. 6. Speak up for yourself and toot your own horn. 7. Cultivate some sort of spiritual beliefs that speak to you in those quiet times of need and contemplation. 8. Do not tolerate abuse (in any form) from anyone. If you allow it once, the perpetrator will do it again. That may mean severing ties and walking away. 9. Open your mind and travel the world to understand people, history and cultures. 10. Your way isn't the only way. Don't shove your beliefs down anyone's throat and don't allow them to do it to you. 11. Get a hobby. 12. Take care of your body. Use Sunscreen and don't smoke. Good shoes matter along with a well fitted bra. 13. What others think doesn’t matter. Go about your business. 14. Develop the ability of hindsight to learn from your mistakes. 15. Take responsibility for your actions and be brave to make amends. 16. Date alot before you settle down. Get to know yourself and what you want in a mate. 17. Be kind to humans and animals. 18. Drugs and alcohol don't help anyone.

I grew up with a mother and grandmother who allowed themselves to be repressed by men and “social norms”. They also passed on to me the fearful/anxious lives they lived as women who did not believe in themselves as whole people who had a right to their own lives. My mother actually apologized to my father for having me, a girl, as a first child. I loved and resented them for all this. I couldn’t wait to leave my mother’s ultra-negative influence for college and freedom. I have broken away from some of this mindset, but still find it difficult to stand up for myself and am still slow to get rid of toxic people. I made the decision not to live the lives they had. That is, in general, what I learned: don’t stand out, don’t attract attention, don’t speak up. What a waste! I still struggle with this crap. I am 64.

He has much more money than me but he is asking me to marry him without any pre nuptial agreement. He is never been mean or unfair to me and treats me with respect. But i have seen him getting frustrated and angry at people outside. He will use abusive language for the politicians if he thinks they are corrupt and bad for the poor. I’m only 41 and learning everyday. My daughter asked me to write a letter addressed to her to read at her high school graduation. It’s an assignment from her teacher. She asked me to write any advice I could give her. This video is extremely helpful so thank you. The one thing that I think I will add is this: what you do doesn’t make you who you are. It’s just what you do. So never be afraid to fail or change your mind about your career. It’s not the most important thing about you. It’s your soul that’s the most important thing and it lives on always.

My advices: 1. Never betray yourself for others and treat yourself like you are your own best friend 2. Listen to your guts feeling, no matter how stupid it sounds 3. Be aware of your thoughts and strengthen those thoughts which strengthen you 4. Be yourself, be proud of who you are, stop caring what others think about you. Shine your unique light proudly on this world. 5. It is okay to change your goals if they dont feel right anymore. Do what is in alignment with you. 6. Fight for yourself and assert your boundaries. You can only be truly kind if you are able to protect your own boundaries. 7. Trust that the universe will bring what you need when its the right time.

I just turned 75, and boy do I have advice for my 17 year old granddaughter. I have always told her to be herself and not allow others dictate what that should be. After listening to you today I would have to add, listen to your intuition. It will lead you to where you need to go. You may make mistakes, but you will learn from them. Even mistakes are important in our lives. As I look back at my life, the times I allowed someone else to influence my choices or make them for me, I regret that decision. I knew it wasn't for ME but for what was best for them. I don't do that anymore, but it does add stress when I follow my instincts. You don't want to live a life of regret. 🙂

Don't chase anyone because if they wanted to, they will. 2. know who you are and stand firm in your identity. 3. set goals for your life; big ones, they help guide you in your decision making. 4. figure out what you love and do them often. 5. never try to impress anyone besides yourself. 6. surround yourself with positive people; people who encourage you to be and do better. 7. always try to listen and pay proper attention to the vibe people give off, they almost always never lie

a person turns to "God" when he is not independent, when he cannot take responsibility for himself and shifts it onto the shoulders of a fictional supernatural being. and it also speaks about his stupidity and limited horizons. after reading history and finding some obvious cause-and-effect relationships, it is easy to abandon "God", but no, it is easier to choose the "easy way".

Lessons I learned from - my dad. - do not retaliate, what you do or don’t do says more about you than them. ❣️ - my divorce lawyer - always do the RIGHT thing ( not the best thing ) and in the end , the BEST thing will happen ❣️ - my Mom - remember you are just as good as the next person - but always be your best - not to be better than - but better you. - my kids - always say I LOVE YOU - my grandmother - It’s the simple things that matter most. - my deceased MIL- every child deserves love. - LET IT GO ! - HAPPINESS IS A JOURNEY - not a destination- - GO OUTSIDE EVERYDAY - wind , rain, snow or sunshine. - worry doesn’t stop something from happening , it just uses up energy you will need when it does. - look in a full size mirror everyday and if you don’t like what you see - change it, toss it , but don’t ignore it.

Beautiful advice from a beautiful woman! I’m 22 years old and this is the advice that I would give my younger self: 1. Stay true to yourself always. Nothing in this life is worth denying your truth. 2. What and who you need will come to you. 3. It is okay to not be liked by all, you will find people that understand and love you beyond what you thought possible. 4. Never ignore what your heart and mind is drawn to, there is a reason why these things always come back. 5. As cheesy as it sounds, you are beautiful as is everyone. The nature of your humanity alone is beautiful and unlikely. Recognise this in yourself and others.

And, on a lighter note, I pass on some advice my mother-in-law told me….”Don’t learn how to do something you don’t want to do for the rest of your life.” 😊 Bless her heart, she married at 15 and had 3 babies by the time she was 19. This was in the 30’s. I don’t think she had much choice with my father-in-law’s job on the railroad keeping him away from home a lot but I took her advice to heart and have passed it on to my granddaughters, as well. Sandra i am 60 yrs old and I sure do love listening to you. You remind me so very much of my grandmother, aunt and mom. I my mom passed away a week before my 16th birthday, my grandmother at 18 and my wonderful aunt when I 58. These three women were my world. My older sister who is 76 is like a mom to me as well. My sister and I always talk about how much we miss our talks with our elders and just how much they taught us and we just didnt realize it at the time. Life today seems to be on such a fast pace and we all really need to slow down and enjoy life and really realize how truly blessed we are. I tell my grandchildren all the time that they need to always remember to be kind, understanding, loving towards all and also to themselves but most of all, always let the people they love know that they are loved and appreciated. I also tell them to talk to God and he will help guide them thru good times and bad. My grandmother lived with us throughout my childhood years and she would always tell me how blessed we were and that we needed to remember that being blessed doesnt mean material things or what money can buy. My mom use to tell me that we are all equal and to never think you are better then someone else. She believed in keeping our family close, whether it was having picnics with everyone during the summer or picking up the phone and calling just to say hi !! Today our society has the children playing on their phones etc., but they really need to go outside and enjoy the sunshine, splashing in puddles, soaking up the sun and fresh air, ride bikes or take walks. I am so happy my grandchildren do this. They love the outdoors and love going to church on sundays and definitely love being with family. Again Thank you for your videos they are truly enjoyed !!

Always do your best. 3. When you hit a rough spot, give yourself grace. Re-evaluate and move forward. 4. Find the joy in your life, appreciate the joy other people have and share it with others. Friends are gem you find along the path of life. 5. Take time for yourself. 6. Appreciate, help, teach, protect your family. 7. Listen and learn when others speak whether it’s something you want to hear or not. It was good to think about this topic. I’m sure I will come up with more along my journey of life.

What I've told my young daughter is that people are so concerned with themselves and worried what people think of them they don't really even care about what's going on with you. I tell her to use her 20s to chase her dreams and I'll be here to catch her if she needs. I went head first into what I felt was responsible in my 20s that I didn't use that time of being house and child free to take risks. She's an artist and I want her to feel she can go for it during that decade. If it doesn't work out that's okay because I will be here if she needs me.

I would give this advice: why worry about what others think. Do you really care what others think? It’s your life, don’t live it for others. And also if you’re going to put effort into doing something that you think is worthwhile, give it your best shot, and do the very best you can. Finally take care of your health.

I think I have taught them already and my grandchildren are a little too young now, but I think I would say: 1. Be honest and true to yourself and others. 2. Always be kind and treat others as you would have them treat you. 3. Stop and smell the roses. The smallest moments are most special. Be Present. 4. Love , pray, and live with all you’ve got to give. 5. Life is short so embrace every minute you have because it could be taken away at any time. 6. Put yourself out there, overcome your fears, take pride in your accomplishments , be proud of you! 7. Thank God everyday. Strive to be your best person. Seek comfort from those who love you ❤️

Some of the things I would tell my grandson would be to be yourself, because God only made one you. To work hard and to give your best always. Be kind and caring and he is that already. Never give in to peer pressure. To always walk to the beat of your on drum. To stand up for what you believe is right.

I'm 21 yrs old but always wanna remind myself, - Everyone is different and unique so you too - don't compare yourself with others and tryna see your own beauty - be independent because no one can be around you forever - be kind and patient to parents - you are enough even if they choose the other one it's not your fault

i've just gone through the dark night of the soul at the age 17, these are smth i realized, and i am so thankful to listen to your advice, gramma: - always prioritize yourself (especially your thoughts, your emotions) - have rules, invest time in the right thing ( as everything is just a mirror reflection) - live with purpose - stay in alignment with god - knows that everything has a reason and dealing instead of hiding from fears

I am 33 years old and I have a daughter and a son. My advices will be these: 1. Put action into your dreams. I am born and raised in the Philippines; when I was in college, I had dreamed of studying abroad but never had that opportunity. Now that I live in the US, I went back to school and currently studying for an associate degree. 2. Take risks. At 33, I decided I to learn how to drive. Going to a new place is always a risk, but what an accomplishment when I make it back home and when I learn something new. 3. Dress for the day. Being presentable is a form of self care and respect to others, plus it makes you more productive. 4. Have a sense of empathy. We live in such a diverse country. Putting ourselves in someone else’s life will give us a sense of understanding and avoid judgements. 5. Help when you can. Helping others helps me too; it makes me feel good and keep me humble. 6. Be physically and cognitively active. Visit a new place; seek a new adventure in life. 7. Don’t forget your family. Spend quality time with people important to you.

Self preservation is sexy 5. Don’t stop being kind because someone doesn’t see it 6. Get to know God as early as possible 7. Be quick to hear and slow to speak. You can’t unsay something.

Excellent as always, Sandra. My dad's favorite saying was, "To thine own self be true"..one of many pearls of wisdom he shared, as you have today. We all need to understand that life gets more difficult as we mature, and, we are presented with more (and different) challenges. I didn't realize that in my younger days. Thank you for sharing with us; I can't think of anyone who could have said it better. Stay safe and well! Rosemarie 💖

Recognize, reevaluate, and embrace the changes that come with every season of life! At 45 i am just now recognizing seasons and learning to embrace the changes. Give yourself permission to keep the things that serve the season you are in and let go of the things that no longer serve you. That can be actual items, or people, or beliefs. Embrace the changes that now bring you joy and peace. I no longer keep photos that make me sad. I only do hobbies and social functions that bring me joy.
