Not feeling satisfied is one of my biggest binge triggers. If a food or meal doesn't turn out how I wanted or expected, I keep chasing that desire for satisfaction with more food. When you said bingeing doesn't satisfy it - mind blown! Ideally all of our eating experiences would be satisfying but I need to learn to tolerate the times that it isn't.

Well, that’s a coincidence. This week’s video is going to be about what to do when you’re struggling to feel satisfied ❤️

Your "Responsibilty" video truely changed things for me, it was such a lightbulb moment for me! I was a "Tomorrow I'm going to..." person. I was constantly ruminating in the present and past, never paying much attention to the present. Being responsible for the now is such an amazing concept - thank you thank you!!

Glad to have found your content. I struggle with the “just one more” binge style. It started when my parents were beginning the process of a divorce when I was a teen. This was over 20 years ago, I still haven’t overcome it. For me night time is my trigger. Once I’ve put my kids to bed, especially if I still have chores to do and I am tired…I feel tension in my throat and when I binge I feel the food pushing that tension down. Would love to take steps to break this cycle. Love your point about NOW. Here for all this content!

Hi Sarah. I have been watching your video's for a few months now, I relate so much to your story. I so appreciate your wisdom and your beautiful warmth that emanates from each video. I recently left OA . . . again. I want to try another way and your work helps. Really believing that I can change is something that I am working on. Thanks again, you really have become one of my teachers. Much love! betsy

Do you have any videos on 'planning' binges? I know that before a holiday I plan all the places I want to eat etc and it feels obsessive. Any videos around this?

I don't think I do. Let me have a think. It could be a good podcast episode...

Thanks so much for sharing your incredible insights. Everything you discuss is so relatable. I’ve noticed that when I’ve been on a low carb approach my preoccupation with food quickly ( after a day or two ) ceases. Feels like what happens on a biological level gives a massive amount of assistance to the binge eating struggles. Is adopting this way of eating something you might suggest ?

There's a lot I could say about this. One of my favourite podcast episodes we've recorded was about this. You may want to check this out to help you figure out your own mind on this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fp7XnHmdfJ10pLs
