Welcome. If I like it and I’m not a fan of hazelnut or even of Nutella before - then I’d say it’ll be a hit with people that love(d) it!

If you have 100% coconut oil the spread will harden. Palm oil is much better for spreads because the consistency stays runny. Also palm oil is full of healthy fats!

Choc zero makes amazing products and I do miss Nutella . I’m definitely ordering .

Thanks for the test and eating a generous portion! I had the same results, just a small increase in blood glucose levels. I agree that the palm oil is a cheap shot - they could have easily used coconut oil and ask for a dollar more. The downside is that it gives me quite the indigestion in the distal bowels, sadly.... anyone experiencing the same? Suggestion for another glucose test: ChocZero KetoBark Milk Chocolates: causes blood glucose spike of 50 to me. By my calculation, must have at least 10-12 grams of glucogenic carbs in there. Would be curious to get measurements from other.

I would’ve preferred $1 more and better oil too. So, does it matter which of the choc zero milk chocolate barks? They have it with various nuts. I think I only have dark chocolate pecan right now. My wife had some milk chocolate peanut but I think she already ate it all. I’ve tested a lot of their products with no glucose spikes yet. But I’ve seen plenty of people who have had spikes with various products from choc zero.

I think it might be specifically the milk chocolate Keto Bark Variants. I tried it with Pecan, Hazelnut, and Coconut. I wish it wouldn’t spike, we have 5 packs or so ☝🏼 lol

I'm so sorry to hear you had upset stomach issues with our hazelnut spread! You may have noticed on the ingredients we used FOS (inulin) over SCF (soluble corn fiber) for the spread. We were trying to reduce corn allergens as we found ourselves getting into more grocery stores so it felt like this was a great time to try a new fiber. That said, we're heeding customers feedback like yours and won't have any more products that contain FOS unless they are further iterations or flavors of our hazelnut spread; it makes it a little more creamy, too, so that's partially why we used it and won't be redoing that recipe. That means you can eat any other CZ product line with confidence. We do have an excellent taste refund policy for this very sort of issue, so if you reach out to [e-mail], they can get you taken care of ❤️❤️

Lol - It wasn’t a “Christmas” episode so I didn’t use it. But it’ll be back for at least a couple more Christmas Candy recipes after I get back home and can make some more.
