Gr8 video thank you on the things that could crush while watching the process , when you think its enough just hit the seal button.

Your videos are very informative. I appreciate your time and the way you explain how to use the products(s). Even the elderly, like my self can understand.

The DISCOUNT CODE is not working. Do you have an updated one? I would like to buy but the promo code is invalid.

Using a larger bag for delicate items helps to keep from crushing it. It’s a trial and error situation.

QUESTION for @Down Grid Survival and ANYONE who has this unit: At the 7:44 he mentions sealing pasta & if it has sharp edges, it could poke thru the mylar bags. Has ANYONE found a way to avoid that happening???? I will be buying this for pasta, beans, rice and dry goods as well as Ball Quart jars. THANK YOU for your advice to this newbie😊

Hi, my question is that you mentioned using it to seal pint cans but didn't describe how to do this. Would you use the vacuum and seal function? would this cause damage to the seal bar since nothing is actually being sealed? I know some brands have an option for just vacuum so wanting to understand how you do it with this brand before purchasing.

Can't do "cans". But it can do the jars. No damage to the seal bar. it just seals up to allow the vacuum to take place. Honestly, I don't use jars, I only use Mylar bags, and I only use it for things like beans and rice. Its a nice unit, but expensive for what I am using it for. Several months ago the company came out with a newer version, but it has a smaller chamber. I would stick with this one. Hope this helps.

So are you using this in conjunction with your freeze dryer? Or is that even needed?
@DownGridSurvival2 жыл бұрын
I have used it to vacuum seal freeze dried foods, but most freeze dried foods are brittle, and I don't want to crush them, so I mostly use it for rice, beans, etc.

I've posted this on two other channels, but maybe you can help . Ive tried sealing about 20 bags so far....and only two have sealed properly . The little bag with the sealed avocado, that come with the unit, shows two very consistent straight line, thick and uninterrupted . My sealed lines are very intermittent and not solid . I'm using Avid Armor bags too . Any Ideas ?

If I understand what your describing, don't fill the bags too full, so that you can easily flatten the top before sealing it. For mylar, I use PackFreshUSA bags, and have not had any problems.

I read mylar bags shouldn’t be thicker than 7mil and heat seal set at 7 (for the 7mil anyway).

If you think it might puncture the bag, place a paper towel inside.

This machine is sold under many names. Negativ; vacuum time not lower then 20 sec. If abort vacuum pomp dont stop right away. Even by seal only pomp is running.
