Issue with the PS3 is there are often better versions of the games on different platforms such as PS4, 360 and pc. What I collect on it is games you cant get elsewhere, such as Infamous, Resistance, MGS4, Little Big Planet and Killzone. Its good for Move games and I also have a 3d tv and enjoy the gimmick. These days for multiplatform games they play much better on xbox, especially if they're backwards compatible and have enhancements like higher resolution and fps boost

I started with a 50 game limit per system. That didn't go so well. I have many nieces and nephews, so I get the 5 or 10 heavy hitters for each system for when they come over, then I get my favorite games I've played in the past and games that I should have played, but missed. I also like strange, and different games. For the PS3, some of my heavy hitters are Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Red Dead Redemption, Motor-Storm (Pacific Rift), most Assassins Creeds and others. Some of my personal favorites from back in the day are Split Second, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Wet, Battlefield Bad Company 1/2, and Ace Combat Assault Horizon. Some of the titles I missed the first time around are Eternal Sonata, Enslaved, and Nier. A few of my "strange, funny" titles are 3D Dot Heroes, Lollypop Chainsaw, The Best of Playstation Network Vol. 1, and Shadow of the Damned. I have many more, these are just an example of what I like to buy.

The problem the PS3 had was almost all the launch titles were more or less glorified tech demos. They were made first to demonstrate the capabilities of the console and game play was a secondary thought. Don't get me wrong there is a place for tech demo games. But when your launching a console having only tech demo games can severely hurt the system. Sony didn't really have a release game that made people go I HAVE to buy this console to play that game. Xbox got very lucky with Halo.
