First of all love your channel and i am grateful for the lessons, because i am from USA and married to a Trini man and love learning to cook his favorite dishes. However i would like to know how long it should cook and whats the name brand of the all purpose seasoning, as didnt catch name.
@FoodByChamionWilliams6 жыл бұрын
lastoute1 hi thank you for your kind words, it Cook’s rapidly I’ll say about 20 minutes. The brand of seasonings I use is Maggi all-purpose season up. 🙂

Hi, thanks for your version ☺️ one thing tho, what's your take on the coconut powder instead of freshly blended coconut milk?
@FoodByChamionWilliams5 жыл бұрын
gigimagz hi thank you for watching & your kind comment it’s greatly appreciated 🙂 to answer your question the coconut powder milk is real convenient & there’s a few great brands the downside is that freshly used coconut milk produces its own oils we won’t get that with packaged coconut milk I hope that answers your question 🙂
@GisGen5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that quick response ☺️☺️. I am watching the coconut cut eye as we speak but I'll blend it today. I am so happy your response time was Swift🤣

I dont make my calloloo like this. As a cook u must have a version to cook calloloo without blender for those who dont have. Our grandparents didnt have blenders and they still made the sweetest calloloo. I will put in the bush after garlic and seasoning to cook and melt down in oil...the only thing thats melts the bush before water, then add in ochro and pumpkin to oil to cook and help further break down bush and then the coconut milk for water/ flavour

Hi I’m trying to figure out the basis for your comment?? I grew up in the 80’s so there’s a lot of things I know! Having said that we must respect the various methods of doing things!
@foodandthesingleguy6 жыл бұрын
Oooohhh yeesss... we make an okra soup with the callaloo leaves and also, often times we stew it with meats or as a side dish... deeeee-lish ;) And it needs so little cooking time too ;)

Oh and do you keep the stem of the callaloo bush ? Or only the leaf ?
@FoodByChamionWilliams6 жыл бұрын
Made in Trinidad keep both some persons peel the stems, I will advise that you cut up the stems small make sure all of them are cut the same size. Usually the stems if it cuts to big it’s somewhat difficult for it to be swizzle I hope this helps.
