Here’s part two of our special feature on The Tamara Coorg holiday. In this episode, we savour a traditional Kodava breakfast and spend time at the spa that proffers organic treatments with natural ingredients like pomegranate and coffee, among others! A plantation walk that concluded with a bean to coffee brewing experience served well to whet our appetite for a dak bungalow dinner with a bonfire to keep us warm under starlit skies. Have visited Tamara twice, it's an amazing place no doubt. But wish the hospitality is same for all. Was amazed to see so many local dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whereas for others the cuisine includes bread toast, idli, dosa , rotis and sausages,with only one special local dish which is usually chicken or fish curry. Which can be found in all resorts. Hope they include more local cuisines and make it a special experience for all. Except for that it's an lovely place with amazing people.

I absolutely love the Coorg area and everytime that I head back to India and Bangalore, I always plan for a mountain getaway into the beautiful coorg landscapes. Being born in mysore and having spent many summer vacations in my grandparents home, a trip to coorg was never far away. Gorgeous place and the smells and sounds of that place make for such a beautiful connect with nature
