This was an unexpected find. I was told by my friend, Charles Baptist that the denizens of Chikmagalur too have warmed up to the donne biryani phenomenon, and one of the most favoured stops for coffee town’s unique take on this popular biryani tradition is MG Road Donne Biryani. The biryani here is spicy, stained a yellowish-red, unlike the greenish-yellow donne biryanis one finds in Bengaluru, and certainly packs a tasty punch. Mr. Charles is really a very good host. I have enjoyed his hospitality many many times. His Vintage Farm is an excellent place to stay over in Chikmagaluru. He is also an awesome cook himself. His night time barbeques are something really fun and enjoyable.

Hey Kripal, I just wanna know what kind of tests are important to undergo for food explorers as most of the places oil being used is not fresh, and that's reason I stopped having Oil Fried Kebabs, Cripy Corn, etc. It would be really helpful if you could make a video on precautions, self-tests, etc.

I have been having this biryani for almost 6 yrs now. Since, my wife hails from their. The last time I tasted it was on last sunday. Was thoroughly disappointed, loads of needless fatty flavour and rice was also not cooked completely as usual. Even my father in law who is an ardent fan of this place was disappointed and didn't even bother to defend his favorite restaurant. Kabab as usual was an highlight.
