Hi Muhammad faraz, Kindly have a look on the following videos. You can see the difference. If you need to make good quality virgin oil for the export market, you must follow the GMP. Many of people commented here haven't seen a coconut in real life. Sri Lanka and Thailand produce over 95% of world's coconut production. We know A-Z on these. Furthermore I have worked over 13 years in Activated carbon (from coconut shell charcoal) factories in Sri Lanka and Thailand. They produce best quality Activated carbon (coconut shell based) for the local and export market.

Thanks for saying that its true. But out here in Vancouver bc, since I was little in the 70's and 80's it only came from Fiji and my mom and dad got it from Fiji supermarket thete was no philipeno stores here then, thank God for that when I was growing up, now the ports are shut barely any fiji stores around to buy these products so I bought the philipeno ones which had no good smell or effect of that coconut oil we used yo get 35 years ago here, so sad

the meat from the young coconut is like pudding..and the water is so sweet, at medium the water has a different taste and the meat is crunchy and sweet. the nut of an old coconut is loose in side and once husked, the nut is like a softball, the texture is chewy and waxy..that is the perfect time to make coconut oil..i'm from Hawai'i and grew up eating coconut and man different ways..the coconut is fantastic! :)

This is the traditional way of making coconut oil for hundreds of years. The dry coconut meat is copra. This was the cooking oil more than 50 years ago until it was replaced by palm oil. Almost all of the coconut plantations were replaced with oil palms. Small amounts of coconut plantations still exist today and are used mainly to produce cold pressed virgin coconut oil which can fetch a very much higher price.

@@douglasdishroon1834 can you elaborate what you meant by waste. If it's the coconut water you are referring to it's not considered waste from where I come from. The coconut water contains a hormone Cytokinin and it helps in plant growth. Could be poured into planters or pots. Could attract ants as it's sweet.

If you are referring to the waste material after oil is extracted then it's called coconut oil cake. It's extensively used as a fertilizer. Please use the keyword and "coconut oil cake" and find out more.

In countries with lots of coconut, they only drink young coconut water. The old coconut water tends to be not consistent in test. 1 out 5 the water may taste rotten. For this reason, they don't drink the water from old coconuts. Once you tasted rotten water from a old coconut, you will never drink from one again. Due to the high oil content of coconut, if you got a rotten coconut, the decaying coconut meat mixed with the coconut oil, once you put it in your mouth, you will not be able to wash the roting taste and smell out of you mouth due coconut oil ability to enter into the cells lining of your mouth on contact. For the next 10 minutes, your mouth will smell like you have a very juicy maggot infested rotting flesh falling apart dead rat in your mouth. That is why they don't want to take that chance.

Looks like they have never cleaned this factory since it's first use, and why can't these people use safety gadgets to work? The coconuts are old as they claim but some of them have gone bad. Just by looking at them from this video it's obvious that they have a lot of hygiene adjustment and improvement to do.

ever used an ax... for cutting wood... try cutting a few tons of wood with an axe thats hard and you use your whole upper body in the process. try it it out it's just as monotonous but harder work with alot of heavier lifts and the same goes for working on the lager bearrings or rollerbearrings assebly line at SKF. thats alot of monotonous and most of the time heavy work i would say...or try out working in construction and hammer hughe poles into the gorund to strengthen the foundation of older buildings that are sinking in to the ground, dont know what that process is called in eng but it is hard work for real even with hughe machines involved.,... i said the work in this clip here is not esp hard work. it is monotonous and there is a difference between monotonous work and hard work but there is also of course monotnonous hard work..... still sayin this is not especially hard work just wery monotonous..........would you rather cut 5 tonnes of wood with a heavvy axe or put together 550 pound roller bearrings in a dirty factory or would you sit in a sunny climate and cut 5 tonnes of coconuts with a large knife? i promise you that an axe is way more heavy than that machete of yours......

Not really. The coconut water that tastes good comes from young green coconuts, these are mature coconuts with thick rinds on the inside. Unlike the young ones they only have a little water inside of them instead of being full and it doesn't always taste good (usually bitter or sour). Even if they did collect all the water it wouldn't be worth much because coconuts literally grow on trees, and people would rather drink from young coconuts. Coconut water is only expensive everywhere else because it has to be canned and imported across an ocean.

Poor indians. Westerners give us Refine oil, olive oil, mineral oil, sun flower oil which totaly useless and dangerous to health. In the same time they spread wrong msg to whole indians via media that coconut oil not good for health and high cholesterol. So what happen is, indians stop using coconut oil for cooking bcz of wrong msg and they change to that "poison" oil from white people country. So what happen is, the demand for coconut oil is droped in india as plan by westerners, then they bougth it (coconut oil) with cheap price for their country. They using coconut oil for daily cooking. This is how white people kills indians.

Why don't we accept the natural colour of the Coconut oil as slightly dusky, and benefit from the Vitamin B Complex present in the brown coating of the nut, instead of removing the coating and then making the transparent oil? Another less known method ,popular in Kerala is to grate the Coconut to fine bits through the scaper, directly crush the grated nut meat and extract milk three times. The third milk is boiled first, and when most of the water is evaporated, the second milk is added and later ,after more water has got evaporated add the first milk and continue boiing till the oil content separates. The Coconut butter is a great taste maker to be added to vegatables or other food materials a secret ingredient, and can also be distributed to kiids as a surprise breakfast additive. It is mildly sweet, and even diabetics can have it.

No metal in the oil. The inner skin which lined the meat/ flesh of the coconut is grayish in color. Coconuts are to soft to scrape the metal grinder and the oil keeps the grinder from becoming rusty

These are old coconuts like what are found in US grocery stores. I was sad to see the water being wasted, but for these old coconuts, the taste is hit and miss. The leftover pulp makes excellent garden compost.

The water from the mature coconuts are not ideal for drinking, but you can still drink it if you like, but it doesn't really taste that good to most people. The coconut water vin stores are from the young coconuts

First they leave the coconuts outdoors where rodents visit overnight. Second, that coconut oil has a grey metallic color. That is polluted, unhealthy, and is not good for consumption.

Coconut water from old coconut totally different taste with the young one. The taste is bad cannot drink it anymore. But this whole process is absolutelly not for virgin coconut oil for skin but for ccoking oil only. Not hiegienic at all. Will be add some chemicals ingredient till got final product for sure.

Coconut industry is very, very labor intensive. Every part of the coconut is very useful. You have to climb a tall tree to harvest the coconut. I commend this people for all their hard work. Uses of coconut parts 1. Outer Shell is used to make ropes 2. Hard shell for fire, cooking or electricity 3. Coconut water for vitamin drink, coconut milk 4. Coconut for eating, soup, oil, soap ,fertilizer 5. Coconut pulp for food, flour, fertilizer, vitamin pills. You can see every part of coconut is useful. Even the leaves from the trees are used for canopy or shelter.

It would be safer and EASIER to break the coconuts over a separator that saves the "milk" and separates the meat from the outer shell which also has value for many decorative items such as buttons. It is amazing to see a rare "bad" one with obvious rot being tossed into the pile of non-rancid coconuts...as well as shelling them onto DIRT. Wow. So close and yet so far from the quality and benefit that is available. Next time you get a strange "note" in the odor of your coconut oil, just remember the visual at 14:24...that's appetizing, eh?
@joem4785

Well they dont want the "milk" and the shells, they are used for decorative items. Make a trip, travel around and then see how people do things there.
