I was surprised! The obvious answer is it was cooked in a burned pot. But, I thought, Mythical Kitchen is a professional kitchen. They’re not going to have burned pots lying around. Don’t get me wrong. I find it endearing.

@@kevinfager. milk scalds REALLY quickly, if you have a pot of milk simmering and turn your head itll scalds. Needs to be constantly stirred. No doubt thats what happened but since its such a low importance dish they prob just went with it lol

I always cooked ramen, drained the liquid, then mix in part of the seasoning packet to taste, so I ended up with seasoned noodles instead of soup.

Yes! I disagree (often vehemently) with some of Link's stances but I am 100% on board that fruited pastries like these (and yes, apple pie!) are best when there are no fruit chunks to deal with. Give me either fresh, still crunchy fruit or give me goo! Anything in-between someone just gave up halfway through making it.

Me too! Warm up the insides with the microwave, just barely toast the outside with the toaster. Toaster alone doesn't cook the insides unless you completely burn the outside.

The inconsistency is the issue. Some pieces are crunchy while others are soft, they don’t warm to equal temperature, and you bite in and get the nice goo and then you just got a semi-hard chunk of goo just cos they wanted to look healthier.

When I worked at a prison, many of the inmates crunched up Ramen in the bag and sprinkled half the seasoning in the bag and ate them like chips. The rest of the packet was usually added to gumbo.

In my jail we just put cold water in the bag. Let it sit for a while then eventually drained it. You could all sorts of toppings from chili to cheese or pickles or any baggable protein (more than I thought existed). Any savory goodness. Extremely unhealthy.

For the longest time thought it was normal to heat the lunchables pizzas in the microwave. We always did that when I was a kid and at one point I started noticing other kids were bringing their lunchable pizzas to school cold. I asked my mom if I could bring mine to school and she gave me a look of disbelief and said I couldn’t because I wouldn’t be able to microwave it lmao

The real oatmeal hack is savory oatmeal. Shredded cheese and some Tony Chachere's mixed in are my base additions, and it's delicious even with just that. A lot of times I'll top it with some combination of crumbled bacon or breakfast sausage, an over-easy egg, green onion, maybe a little sour cream and/or Chalula hot sauce... perfection.

Toaster scrambles actually tell you to microwave it for 10 seconds before you toast it. I’ve started to do that for both toaster strudels and toaster scrambles now.

I'm with Link on his toaster strudel technique. I do the same thing for frozen mini pot pies. It's way faster and easier to microwave them first and then put them in the toaster oven. It gets the right amount of toastage without burning and the quick cooking without the typical sogginess of the microwave.

Link I absolutely agree with you about fruit goo vs fruit chunks. I have texture issues with food. So fruit chunks are a no go lol

I swear Link is my spirit animal, absolutely all of his weird ways of doing things or liking things is my way,like the whole toaster strudel cooking process all the way to liking the fact that it's just goo&no real fruit pieces and not wanting there to be any in an apple/fruit pie😂 LOVE YOUR WEIRD MIND LINK🙌🏻💯
