I like that Santi went personal here, I remember when I went to Buenos Aires a couple of years ago and eating choripán on the street was amazing, and it is also nice to see Spanish words not completely butchered, I love mat pat but languages aren't his strong suit. @@jolliron accent and languages are two different things, and given that words like "choripán", "chimichurri" and "Argentina" are originally in Spanish, I think it is better to say them in their original language accent, maybe country names for understanding purposes and a lot of countries have exonyms that are different anyway, maybe it is my polyglot brain shortcircuting, everytime I see a word from a language I know that was borrowed into another language my brain goes to the pronunciation in the original language unless the word has been greatly modified in written form. My comment was more of a slight roast at Mat in the Encanto Film Theory episodes failing to pronounce a traditional building styles and not understanding how gramatical gender works.

Here is an idea. Work around the original ingredients. Pickled red onions and melt the cheese on top of the meat under a lid. That way you keep the flavour in the meat and makes it amazing. Then work around everything else.

I submitted a Frnch Onion Whopper Forgot the exact ingredients, but kept it simple, but different. Made some research for the right cheese ro use and for the sauce, an onion sauce already provided by BK. Keeping it cheap and different from what they already have.

I entered my 3. I didn't read the fine print to get the breakdown, but I worked at BK for about 10 years, so I knew to use ingredients that they could easily add to their boards and which ones they currently have or have had in the past. I also know the basic sandwich building order, so I was able to add the ingredients in the way they would actually be prepped. I used items I've ordered, and I always customize my order. I also eat out a lot and some of my inspiration came from places like Wendy's and Sonic that offer some more unique additions that I've recently seen added on the BK menu, but not paired well with other toppings. It has been over a month and I don't remember exactly what I submitted, but one incorporated a topping with everything I usually get on it: Stacker sauce, Pickles, onions, bacon, Swiss cheese.

PS, the BK Stacker sauce is the equivalent to the big Mac sauce. The big Mac has Lettuce, onions and Pickles. So 3 ingredients are the same but switching out the style of cheese is a shift in flavor profile. And getting rid of the Lettuce and adding bacon, what could be more American? I know this was a promotional event but I tried to make my burger, at least this one, one that could have potential to stay on the menu all the time.

I think the greatest burger would be a BLT burger with mayo and onions. Make it a double with two patties, and maybe a slice of pepper jack cheese. Also, a little bit of paprika right before you put on the top bun.

Looks delicious!! This was very thorough, Santi! I’ve never had chorizo, or really any Argentinian food and would love to try making my own or at least vote when the time comes! However, I have a couple of questions: 1) How did you submit a chorizo patty if the only options were beef and Impossible? Did you use the spices as toppings? Did you just put “chorizo” or “chorizo patty” and hope they’d take the hint? 2) How do we know the judging is fair? Hate to be cynical, but Burger King could have already performed a secret taste test experiment for predetermined options, factoring in feasibility and innovation, and searching through submissions for one that was similar to add to the finalists. They may have cut even more corners and already had a specific combo in mind that they try to search for. (As for the lucky winner, $1M is likely a drop in the bucket as long as the keep good PR with the contest). Hope all is well with Team Theorist! Thanks again, and have a great day!
