@@jessiejames7492 I heard Ronnie say in an interview she kept Phil Spector's last name because that was how the public knew her, and all of her records and bookings were in that name. Her father's name was Bennet, and she said if she suddenly appeared as Ronnie Bennet that no one would know her. Her name as Spector had become a brand by the time of the divorce in 1974..

@Charlie Toole, Nor is there any remote resemblance to anything from today's music! Take W.A.P. for example! In fact, even hinting at any sort of juxtaposition as I just did sounds quite actually obscene and unreal! Have to apologize for even bringing that up apart from the fact that it simply is the reality of the situation. 🤔😧🙄

I think though I’m not sure that the one on Ronnie’s right side is Chip Fields Hurd and on Ronnie’s left is Donna Lynton although supposedly Chip and Donna were members from 1973-74, and this Sha Na Na episode is from 1978 and Chip and Donna look nothing like they looked in 1973-74, when they played at a Grand Ole Opery. From Spanish Harlem these ladies made it big. From touring Australia with the Beatles to Ed Sullivan landing in the Rock N Roll hall of Fame. They made it.

I know this might be hard for many, but, I only JUST found out this amazing singer, Ms Spector passed away over year ago. Not only that, but, I knew her former husband (Mr Spector) since the mid/late 70s, as well as the immensely talented Ms Darlene Love. I only say this, because it was a dream of mine to 'one day' meet her, and sadly, that never was to be. Thank goodness her voice lives on, as part of some of THE BEST rock and roll EVER recorded. 💐🎙️

I used to see Ronnie when she played Dino's in Middletown, New York. She put on great shows and I was amazed that such a powerful voice could come from such a petite little lady. We will miss Ronnie, she was something special.

Being born in 1961, seeing all these amazing artists passing just keeps getting harder and harder... I grew up with a huge crush on Nedra. They were so talented. My older sister had their hair for a while.. RIP Ronnie..Hope you and Eddy are rocking till the morning light.. When we learned that George Harrison and Keith Richards were dating them, we said..Really? Ok time to learn a instrument..For me it was the drums..Had so much fun in the late 70's into the 80s!
