Soo glad that you mentioned the whole "scent" thing. I absolutely cannot stand the spicy scents that so many others seem to adore. At Christmas time I have a hard time going shopping because that stink is EVERYWHERE! I can't even go to the grocery store.. thank goodness they deliver. I ordinarily do not use the grocery delivery.. but at Christmas time I have no choice. When I stage homes.. I go for an initial consultation. There have been times I have had to re-schedule, or ask them if we can go out on the patio for the consultation as that scent is so nauseating. If you want to use a scented plug-in or whatever.. get one of the fresh, clean more neutral scents.

I'm glad to see people discussing the odor factor. It's a bigger deal, if not the biggest in getting a home sold. Once a real estate broker and rehabber I've often considered that the drive up and location while primary to getting a prospect inside, is secondary when the senses scream NO !! Often it's subconscious but odor is a HUGE deal when it comes to prospects. Is this a self serving post as I am in the odor removal business? Sure. But it's also a post I make from experience.
