As RC Sproul puts it there is no rogue molecule in the universe, everything is under God's sovereignty.
@Andreamom0014 ай бұрын
Yes, God is sovereign. But he doesn’t actively control every molecule every moment. He isn’t a puppeteer. He allows people to sin and rebel and even reject Him.
@ricksonora66564 ай бұрын
Extreme Calvinists conflate sovereignty with control. Sovereignty is about a authority and ability, but it does not require control of every detail.

Sadly, the "church" in America has not had a good reputation for a long time. The vast majority of people who call themselves Evangelical Christians support abortion.

A critique of this video: Greg says that God didn’t cause the bullet to miss. A more truthful approach would be: we don’t know. God could have intervened, or maybe He didn’t. There is no acknowledgement that intervention by God might have been a possibility. I understand that Greg is working with the raw material God has given him and other than this he generally does a good job.

Been listening to you since you started on air (KBRT, maybe?). I enjoy your commentary very much. And I like being able to watch you on KZbin as well as listen on your app. Just one suggestion: please look into the camera as much as possible when it is on. The more you focus on "us," the more we feel engaged. Thanks for everything you do for the kingdom and may God continue to bless you and your family.

I do have a question. If we believe in God’s sovereignty over each life and recognize the reality of evil, why isn’t it possible that the Lord sovereignty allows one to live for purposes we dont know and another to die also for purposes we don’t know. Thanks again.

What is difficult for me is if God had nothing to do with the bullets (hitting where they did and didn’t), then why should we pray for someone’s protection? It seems as if what happens comes down to either luck or being in the wrong or right place at the wrong or right time.
@ronochow4 ай бұрын
When we pray, Jesus teaches us to pray for God's will to be done, we are acknowledging God's sovereignty over all things. If one prays for another's protection or in any matter, we might be reflecting our desires, but what matters more, is whether in our hearts we are willing to submit to God. And, even if things do not turn out the way that we thought or want it to, do we still trust in God, praise Him, and abide in Him, knowing that it is for good? If someone lives we also praise and thank God for His provision. God can actively do something, or allow something to happen. And the bible says that all things are under his control. So God did have something to do with the bullets in that they weren't out of his control, but He also did not necessarily need to act over the bullets to make them go where they went if that makes sense. And the more important part is where our hearts and desires are aligned.
