The company: "Turntide" specialises in SRMs. What impressed me in their education videos was the simplicity of construction of the motor. But the (self-contained) electronics is very advanced. Not that the user needs to worry about that.

FE, I have been searching the internet and YT for some guidance about something. As I am in my golden years and my passion for surf fishing I am looking to convert a cart into electric DC drive. Most of the concept I understand and what I seek advise on is this. Most of the parts and motors I am looking at are on Amazon and with out any doubt they are cheaply made motors from China. Being that I will be in a salt air environment what would I be looking for? Salt air and electric motots is like poring sand in a gas motor oil. I would be very thankful for any advice you can provide. Thank you and great video!!!

There is a problem with motors embedded in wheels. For best handling, we should reduce the unsprung weight of the wheels as much as possible. So the motor should be fixed to the body, and connected to the wheels using shafts and universal joints and so on.
