Judith Durham of the Seekers had the same voice from her late teens until she passed a few months back. Other artists like Meatloaf sadly rapidly deterioated to the point of being almost unwatchable. Not sure whether it's the lifestyle or whether age just effects some people and not others.

Simple? Not quite. Listen to all the keyboard harmonies on the album recording. Also the key change from major to minor which isn't that common in modern pop songs these days.

Not bad, Pedro. But you guessed wrong here... your suggested lyrics (from listening to the phonetics) simply make no sense. Someone should ask Peter what his girlfriend's name was because I think he states it here. Unfortunately, it's not clear: "I'm sitting here, I miss [girlfriend's name], I'd like to go out, (and) take in a show..."
