seriously, is there a song that you guys don't absolutely murder with talent? i was completely blown away. every hair on my body was raised as i listened to this. every part of this was honestly brilliant. from the layering, to the soloist, to the beatboxing, to the separation of the male and female voices. outstanding.

The experience I get from this arrangement is completely different from the original. It's like it lulls me with its chord progressions, and the echo effect that they create after the chorus enchants me. Because of it, my interpretations of the song strayed from the idea of heartbreak between two lovers. I saw myself as the fool. I've worked painfully hard to get into college, yet I'm waiting for a decision that determines whether I get to go. Can I still hope or am I just fooling myself? The arrangement seemed like it TALKED to me, and it answered with a sense of comfort yet mystery. Especially at the end, with the guys fading into the phrase "only fools fall," I always envision a girl staggering, but the song cuts off before you can determine whether she collapses or continues walking. I just don't know. I think that's the beauty of really good music-- the kind that resonates with you in one way or another. It's not only pleasant for your ears but it makes you feel.

Ever since I found this several years ago I’ve revisited it every so often and I’ve never been so inspired by a vocal performance. After the 17 years I’ve been singing in choral groups, including 4 years in a cappella, I am blown away. I think the mixing does a lot for this performance, but I have no doubt that their sound is just as cohesive and full in person. This is an amazing arrangement, the soloist is outstanding, and the harmonies are rock solid. Not to mention the little bass arpeggio to start the song is BEAUTIFUL and so delicately written you barely even notice it! Thank you for sharing this with the world
