Turned out that it had bad layer adhesion and was split before we even put it on. They ended up reprinting it. I'm not sure of print time (they were finished when I got there) but it was surely A LOT.

MatterHackers I have an original Ultimaker and I print at 80mm/s. Would you say that is close to the limit?

This is one of the coolest things to watch being made. A few weeks ago, I asked you a question about tools and you gave me your website link. I bought a few things and, today, I finished my first completely original piece of furniture. It has TONS of problems and I can see what to and not to do on my next project (as well as some tools that I should totally buy for my next endeavours) but it's incredibly satisfactory to have gone beyond the idea and really gotten something done. Sweet video! I made a football table last summer with my buddy. This video made it look easy. Haha! But we used a solid thick plexiglass playing floor so you can so right though it and we added color changing led lights and painted everything neon so it fluoresces under a black light. Thanks for making all your videos! They encourage me to build stuff which I love to do!

i get that. next question, how much did it cost to make each one. there are many factors. if it costs you $5 each, just throwing a number out. then maybe buying a part for $3 is money better spent. people who make things rarely if ever make back the money they actually put in to a project for themselves.

Time is money, but if you already have printers, it's fairly hands off once you start the print. They said all of the pieces had a total of 11.5 days of print time. It's entirely possible that it's not cost effective (or maybe it is, I have no idea) but for those of us who like to make things, that's not always the highest priority. Sometimes it's just about seeing if something is possible or reasonable.
