With all the custom automotive history behind Chip, with all the different hot rods he has put his hands on, the excitement and the pure joy of finding this Barris Bros. creation is written all over Chips face. I also really love seeing the pics of the proud owner behind the wheel....gangster!!!!

Amazing that you are keeping a classic car in original condition and bring it back to life. Looking into the future I can imagine in 50 years, another restorer is drooling over a Foose build in a barn somewhere. Love ya work!
@BrentArmstrong6 ай бұрын
It’s not an original car. It was a hot rod done by George Barris, the guy that built the original Batman car from the tv series with Adam West, he also built a lot of other famous cars. This was one of George’s first custom cars. Sadly George passed away recently and Chip wants to help the family preserve George’s work to help them sell it.

Hello Chip…. Proud to say I’m building MY version of your “GrandMaster ‘35 Chev Master Coach Deluxe”…. I saw the REAL Grandmaster at the 2005 Good Guys Show at Del Mar Racetrack…. It was PURE luck that I saw YOUR car approx 5 years after I found MINE cast off in a field in a Lemon Grove, CA brickyard… A most beautiful & unique stroke of GOOD FORTUNE! An amazing once-in-a-lifetime discovery.

This car and the historie is just great. Two guys in the sixties doing their thing. They must have been so proud at their work. I like that Chip Foose sees that nothing needs to change. The cliche it is only original once is totally true for this piece of automotive historie,. l love this small series. We just do not have this in the Netherlands but I really appreciate it.

It's really surprising that the car is in such good condition, and it hasn't been messed with. The magazine articles and pictures are very cool. This car was a very big deal at the time, and it's still a big deal all these years later. Guys like Barris were so talented, and the things they did to cars back in the day were amazing... I'm curious how much it will bring at auction.

My Dad bought a 1954 Olds around 1958 or so, blue and white two tone. Historically, my oldest brother slipped on the gas pedal and drove the the left headlight into the cement foundation of our house. I have forgotten the outcome, I think my Dad then bought a brand new Rambler.
