Footage of Arizona doctor's alleged assault at WM Phoenix Open

Footage was obtained of a former Arizona doctor allegedly assaulting a woman near the entrance of the WM Phoenix Open in February. Now he's facing a civil lawsuit. FOX 10's Ellen McNamara has the story.

The -'s is what linguists call a clitic. Clitics typically cannot bear stress - that is, they are unstressed - so they cannot appear in syntactic positions that bear stress. For example, they cannot appear on the right edge of a phrase/clause. An exception would be when using " not" at the end of a phrase/clause. For example, " no they aren't". This would be accurate as an observation as well as grammatical correct. Are you college educated and take offense, or do you feel the college educated are more intelligent than you?

I go weeks without drinking. I go months if there is no 'drinking occasion' such as family gatherings or work get-togethers. I have been slurring, stupidly drunk (knowing I am NOT driving), but never violent such as knocking things down and/or assaulting people. Had I ever started getting rowdy, violent, which then led to my arrest, losing my job, and a lawsuit, not to mention notoriety on the news, I would probably simply STOP completely.

So he is clearly drunk & escorted out of the venue by police, but no questioning by the police if he has someone to drive him home, or concern that he may be going to a vehicle to drive himself home? The lady needs to get an attorney and investigate why he was even allowed to leave the venue in the condition he was in. Just my 1/2 cent opinion due to inflation. 🙂

WAAAAY too much to drink. Hopefully the criminal charges, losing his job, and paying out thousands will help him stay in check. I have been slurry-speech intoxicated before on numerous occasions since early adulthood (54 years old now), but I go months between drinks. But, had I committed several crimes resulting in my losing my job, being arrested, and paying out lawsuit money, I would think it is time to 're-think before I ever re-drink' or something corny and kinda catchy like that. If he has a serious drinking problem, then, well...time for serious interventions. Who knows if he was planning on driving later on!

Law enforcement is also to be blamed. He should have never been released into the public in his condition. Another case of officers not doing their job. Before anyone gets their panties in a knot. I’ve been in law enforcement for 30 years and have worked large events and have seen officers do this same thing and it rarely ends well. If I was in the area I would intervene and not allow it to happen even if it meant facilitating the arrest myself. It’s lazy and irresponsible.

This is just like when I heard about this 61 year old lawyer who shot up a strip club, killing a security guard, after he was bounced from the club because he stripped naked in a private room with one of the dancers. I couldn't understand how a guy of that stature could crash out and commit such a thoughtless crime that is normally relegated to the dregs of society. Offing your wife for millions of dollars in insurance money? Yeah, that makes sense. But pulling out the blicky at a strip club because you got tossed for being too freaky? Nahh.
