So great as an Eagles' fan to have a shutdown cornerback. For years I watched WRs torch our secondary because Howie would never address the secondary until the late rounds. Darius Slay has been solid but fathertime is hitting him. So seeing Quinyon Mitchell shutting down WRs as a rookie is so refreshing to watch. Plus Cooper Dejean, CJGJ, and Reed are playing well after the bye. If we keep this core, Eagles could have a version of "No Fly Zone".

100% you couldn't have said it any better. Last year was particularly rough with how often our secondary got torched. Bradberry had a bad year especially compared to his previous season. Like allowing JSN to catch a game winning TD (if I'm remembering correctly that it was in fact Bradberry on him during that play) was painful to watch. Then we go out in the draft and snag Quinyon AND Cooper Dejean. This year I can watch our team play and not be crippled with anxiety every time an opposing QB throws the ball deep lol. You can move a DE around to get a favorable matchup, Quiyon is getting the #1 more times than not. I get wanting to go to bat for your team but dont make shit up dude, CB is one of, if not the hardest position on the defensive side of the ball. If you have 1 or 2 bad plays a game, people will say you got cooked and you played bad. Meanwhile, an EDGE rusher just needs 2-4 big plays and he had a great game and destoried the blocker across from him. The two positions arent even comparable.

His main problem is he isn’t good in the run game and especially not good at tackling. Hope can work on that because corners getting off wrs and tackling rbs is huge for a successful run defense. That’s why the lions run-d has been good. Physical corners who can tackle well and at least delay rbs for their safeties or linebackers to finish off the tackle has been a huge benefit for the lions run-d

It’s a tough situation for a young rookie CB to play in AG’s system this year. He’s made huge improvements over the last several games and seems to have gotten over feeling like he needed to grab when most of the time he didn’t need to. IMO he will be a lock 🔒 down corner in a year or two.

You guys have KILLED it in the draft the past couple of years your team has really turned it around and I'm happy they have! listen ik you try to be "realistic" with the vikings, but 99% of the time you're overly negative for no reason. JJ was projected 4th, dallas was projected 12th, to get both of those at 10 and 17 is amazing, but even turner alone at that time was a steal. He's a rookie on a loaded D-line, if you expected him to be in a big starting role early, then that's just on you tbh. D+ is an insanely low grade, even when trying to be "realistic" its a C+ at worst. They got him lower than supposed to, and even in limited snaps he has shown big flashes from time to time. If it was strictly based off production this year, then i could get it to a degree, but at the very least, that wasn't stated.

To be fair, Xavier's not working with a full cast of receivers, so while he's had his share of rookie mistakes, it's also easier to cover him. I don't think it's a coincidence that Keon's production improved with Amari Cooper on the field.

I don't exactly see how you can justify Terrion Arnold's grade. He has struggled a lot this year. Has 4 PBUs to 9 penalties. 105.8 passer rating when targeted, and a forced incompletion % of 9%. His coverage grade is only slightly better than Aidan Hutchinson's. I don't disagree that with most of what you said with mentality and potential to get better, but his performance is not worthy of a B- right now, being one of the worst starting CBs in the league.

I think linebackers are probably the toughest position for players to transition to into the nfl. Most linebackers seem to take about 2 years to get up to speed that’s why we don’t have too many great rookie lbs over the past ten years

As a Chiefs fan I can tell you that there are several factors out of Worthy's control that make him look worse than he might be at the moment. For once left tackle is really problematic for us at the moment on top of that Mahomes is also not 100% with his ankle which makes the deep ball harder and less precise. With more time in the poket and a healthy Mahomes he should look better but yeah his drops and his weight certainly don't help.

As a Chiefs fan I am not out on Worthy. Rookie recievers rarely put up big numbers under Andy Reid, even Tyreek. Worthy from my view, has actually made a lot of plays to get open, but it seems like everytime Pat targets him, they just barely misconnect. Once he builds some weight, adds to his route tree, and builds chemistry with Mahomes, I think we will have something with Worthy and RIce.

Even though i still want Trent Baalke to go along with Doug Pederson to hopefully get Ben Johnson and a competent GM, on draft night all I wanted was Brian Thomas jr that night, the trade back and to still get him made me sure they weren't taking a corner, although I did like Quinyon Mitchell and Terrion Arnold and a lot of people had Mitchell to the jags in a lot of mockdrafts. I was so happy we got Brian as I am a Trevor Lawrence believer and hopefully if we get a better HC and GM combo, Lawrence to Thomas will be one of the best QB-WR duos to come.
