I feel like the PE teacher was in his corner and acc tried to help him and gave him an opportunity. Whereas I think the Assistant Head guys was a bad teacher. He's not trying to help the guy but just punish him. I don't think there was a benefit to making him come in on the Wednesday and just repeatedly punish him. He's thinking that he's helping with good intentions but isn't putting himself in the kids shoes and break the cycle of bad behaviour. The PE teacher actually related to him and that's why he was so much of a bigger help and he seemed to care and sympathise a lot more when he discusses his brother

People like the PE teacher are the kind of teachers that you remember 10 years later. It’ll be 11 years since I finished school and the teachers I remember (my english teacher, my PE teacher and science teacher) took an active interest in my life. They never tried to make life hard, they gave advice and took a hand off approach.

One thing I learned if you defend yourself you get in trouble when in actuality he had a point you can't always apply the rules to certain situations and i think its key that we keep this in mind and teach self defense because there wont always be someone there to save you so teaching them the basics can go a long way

That P.E teacher is worth his weight in gold. No higher compliment i could give. Socially he can connect with students on a level where many other teachers cannot which for some of the more rebellious students is life changing.
