Özil deserved better treatment than what he got.. I so wish he was still playing for us, i don't think we as German fans had really gotten the opportunity to witness his full potential.. And we managed to produce two of the best passers of the ball in football history in the same generation, which are Özil and Kroos.. But we really didn't get to witness Ozïl's full potential playing for Germany, Real Madrid fans got to witness more of him than us.. Özil had so much more to offer.. One of my favourite German players of all time..

As well as football I'm a rugby fan and I often wonder which footballers could transition best to that sport. Of the footballers I've personally seen up close in the flesh, hands down Gary Cahill stood out. An absolute unit - so stacked you could spot him in a crowd from 100m away. He could've gone straight in at outside centre without even having to bulk. Obviously Micah Richards had the option to play professional rugby but opted for the better paying sport.

Not surprised. These people are pro athletes. They have been disciplined since they were like 6yrs old. Theyve had the best strength and conditioning coaches in the world as well as nutrition advice. So they can pivot to another type of training post football. Furthermore, they're heading into mid to late 30s if not early 40s where you do fill out
@chrisl99346 ай бұрын
Being pro athletes doesn't explain how players like Eden Hazard and Samir Nasri grow fat instead.
@chuck2756 ай бұрын
@@chrisl9934 I think you're missing a vital component. Nothing is guaranteed. However, being a pro athlete gives you the conditioning, knowledge, rigour , muscle memory , elite sports science and nutrition. Thereafter, post retirement those ppl who are motivated can tap into this and maximise what they're bodies have. That's a personal endeavour but a former pro athlete at 40 doing that with all their yrs of conditioning stand to make better gains than some 40yr old couch potato. The fact eden hazard chose to chill whereas Ronaldo and Ramos carried on is totally fine but doesn't counter what I'm saying. YOU STILL HAVE TO PUT IN WORK, BUT YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS. Thanks for engaging
@KD-us9jm6 ай бұрын
@@chuck275 I agree with you. Since they have been training all their lives , it's easier for them to just tap into another level of training.

Footballers are athletes so it's no surprise that quite a few of them can bulk if they do the right training. There's no advantage to being bulky on a football pitch which is why they were skinny in their playing days.
