Congratulations! I really enjoy your videos. I have been coaching youth for a long time and I am still learning and evolving. Thanks to your channel and others like it, this spring I took a team of 13 year olds, 75% who had never played football/soccer and we won the Championship game against a team with 85% highly experienced players. We did this by having superior training sessions and building a team that would not quit. We lost many games at the beginning of the season, but then started winning. I kept telling the players "We just need to peak at the end".

I think there is a level of defence that football hasn't reached yet and NFL style zone and man marking with the variety leverages and scheming will eventually percolate into football. People think football is defensive now. Just wait till they start implementing NFL style principles in defence lool

@maazahmed2336 cool... Yeah football is becoming real systems based - my thinking is that players IQ will become as important as their personal technical skill levels... Carrying out multiple tactical instructions is where top level football is heading.

@devinedude3690 yup exactly but more than that I think players with natural talent to read pressure and just execute controlled chaos will shine more and more in a tactical system. Players win games man. You can shut down one or two players but if a team has good movements and great synergy with their players then no defence can stop it. There will be growing pains early on when these more educated defensive systems come out but top players playing for fluid coaches will quickly stand out. Btw, I love Atalanta and how they mix man marking with zonal marking.
