@FootballPicksandPredictions Capping these teams I see the defenses at a relative stalemate. But watching some film against a respectable team like Georgia Tech (who made some mistakes defensively in that game), I saw some major issues with Leonard. The guy really has an inaccurate inconsistent arm. I think it hurts them tomorrow in a game where I doubt they’ll be spotted 14 pts in the middle 8 He’s going to have to throw for them to keep pace. Even in a relatively lower scoring game. Good luck

@@FootballPicksandPredictions Let’s not forget the additional weapons at the running back disposal with Price and Williams. These 3 RB’s (well balanced in game reps) have been a major reason for Notre Dame’s successful rushing attack with that depth and not requiring just one workhorse. They have 3 very strong, very fast running backs that have balanced their fair share of the load and done so with remarkable success when paired with a quarterback who can run the RPO and and then you have to account for the qb going the other way. In my humble opinion, too much emphasis is on Riley Leonard’s passing inefficiency. Let’s at least recognize that this isn’t a naval academy passer... He’s no Drew Brees but adequately equipped enough to throw a strike when it’s there or drop a dime into 1:1 coverage. Leonard’s ability to take off with his legs if a lane is open makes him a dangerous dual threat for any defense (that is very underlooked on the stat sheet - one of the many Notre Dame clever disguises when opposing teams scout/break down film). The same can be said for both sides. This is going to be a trench battle.

For a team to bully Georgia, c'mon. Irish will win a close close game, maybe a field goal, maybe overtime, but I think the Irish win. To me, Irish are the hottest team in the playoffs. As long as the spread doesn't jump to three, I am riding the hottest team.

"Bully Georgia" Maybe they bullied Georgia's Offense but Georgia has the 102nd ranked rushing offense and had a back up QB making his first start for the passing game so I would hope a competent team would shut that down. When ND had the ball they did not bully anybody. ND had 90 yards passing and their RBs combined had 76 yards. That's pathetic and PSUs D is better.

@@holdengamble Not to be echo chamber but I agree with you, nothing with that win over Georgia was sustainable. Their only kick return of the year was in that game. Georgia shot themselves in the foot going for a deep throw with 30 seconds left in the half that lead to a strip sack. This is the exact reason why you take a knee to go into the half unless you have a realistic opportunity to score. I will give ND credit for having a solid D but at this point it is extremely beat up on the line, Georgia was not able to exploit that but PSU can. By some metrics, Notre Dame's offense was putrid against the only defense they've seen approaching Penn State's level (Georgia). They had less than 250 total yards and only 14 first downs. They had a grand total of one offensive possession get inside the Georgia 24, and that was only because it started there. They only had one play all day get >14 yards. Ignoring that play, they had 3.4 yards per carry. They had 3.8 yards per attempt passing.

It doesn't matter how many days you get a rest or the last time that you played and touched the football it depends on how you prepare your team within that time. Notre Dame's going to whoop Penn State by at least two to three touchdowns guarantee it with two interceptions and probably two fumble recoveries people Penn State is not going to be able to keep up with Notre Dame speed and physicality add coaching and we're not just talking about Marcus Freeman we're talking about Al Goulding and Mike denbrock it's going to out coach James Franklin's whole entire coaching staff. Don't listen to these three stooges because I'm telling you Notre Dame has backups backups that back up we have at least four running backs and the thing is people don't realize that that third running back that people are seeing is a true freshman and he's a backup because the third running back pain went down in the summer we got back up and our second running back price can't do the same thing love can do.. y'all are watching but y'all don't want to believe that Notre Dame is going to destroy whatever team comes in front of them they're mentally focused on this national championship run and the coaching staff is prepared to do whatever it takes to frustrate that quarterback in office coordinator and their team. Allar is marginal at best--plays well against teams PSU should beat but against top tier teams, he cannot walk and chew gum. Dual threat Irish QB will find a way to win it. Allar will find a way to lose. Irish D will take charge of any situation + Ryan Franklin does not have the balls to do the right thing in crunch time.
