England fans are being told that the players are struggling physically so they can’t play at the desired intensity. Did they watch 41-year-old Pepe play last night?
Today, Marcus, Jim and Vish are here to wave a sad goodbye to 2pm kick-offs, they served us well! They also show concern that Belgium seem to have hit their straps at Euro 2024. Plus, the lads are joined by Andy to question him on whether he ran on the pitch during Turkey vs Portugal.

Roberto Martínez said in a press conference that it was a matter of them getting used to it and gaining rhythm as the competition progressed. I hope this game was a sign that they’re finally mentally and physically in the competition. For Portugal, I’ve noticed, after growing with and observing the last 2 generations, that quality isn’t a problem. It’s really about everyone being on the same page. It’s not that there were misunderstandings and bad relationships in the group (cough, like England), but the factor that helps them the most is camaraderie, as well as good leadership, mostly from the coach. They need a figure they respect leading the group and Martínez seems to have that respect, they seem happy that he’s the coach. Of course, there’s a set of players that can make magic together and he needs to get those starting XI’s right.

what Portugal team and Nation needs is a tipical confidence boost, we need a nation psicological support, I believe that after the dictature we got so much post traumatic effects on a Nation wide scale...this is why you can see the old Generation being super negative at almost anything...but the trend is changing with the new Generation hopefully...Lets boost positivity not with confidence I do belive the team (excluding Cr7) a believe that we can do it, and also a recover of the fighthing spirit we can see that once issues happen in the national team, fingers start being pointed at everyone,.. this is clearly the basis of failure... just see how some other nations react to having a goal scored...this is what we need to..I though that wining a Euro would help boost this, and you can see there is a slight change but the inerent finger pointing seems to sometimes still be there...once you get outsiders the group affecting it,..this is when we start losing...once again is all down to the mind, we have the quality we just need the power mind games which we only have one person that can teach it in huge amounts and this is Ronaldo!

Everyone's getting the assist wrong. Ronaldo would've also broken a record had he scored, arguably a more important one - the player to score in the most Euro tournaments ever. He did it to show Bruno Fernandes how it's done in that situation. Earlier in the game Bruno failed to assist Ronaldo in an equally good position and missed his shot. The celebration tells you everything you need to know: Ronaldo turns his back to Bruno and cheers with the rest of the team, while Bruno runs back to them and immediately approaches Ronaldo, and you can see it in their faces: Bruno is both thanking the assist and apologising for earlier, Ronaldo definitely tells him in that quick hug. And they're talking it off again moments later when the celebrations die down. I'm not saying this because I like Ronaldo or dislike Bruno, quite the opposite. But that is the power dynamics in the Portuguese team, and that's how Ronaldo's mind works.

@@rodrigocordeiro_ yeah I'm being delusional, not the people saying he did the assist for an assist record... when scoring would've produced a scoring record. He did it because it was the smart thing to do, and sure, I'm speculating the rest. Based on their visible, documented reactions.
@ashishthomas298
@ashishthomas298 5 күн бұрын
I respect your opinion and think it's actually right but the reason for ronaldo to turn back after the assist to Bruno is to check the lines refree decision regarding the authenticity of the goal. He is not sure if he is onside at the time he received the pass.
@nonono8788
@nonono8788 5 күн бұрын
@@ashishthomas298 That is also true, but as soon as he confirms the assistant referee isn't flagging an offside, he turns to the other players, and waits for Bruno to get to him before they even exchange a look - portuguese broadcasters even mention Ronaldo's friendly-but-stern look at that point, and immediately mention Bruno's missed opportunity and how it may have influenced Ronaldo's decision - he does love some "moral" high ground. Their time together at United left some scars and I don't think Ronaldo will ever lose an opportunity to pull rank on him - Bruno on the other hand, I believe, will be a lot less selfish going forward in the tournament.
@jeanjacqueslundi3502
@jeanjacqueslundi3502 5 күн бұрын
As a portuguese, ,yes you are delusional. A lot is written online by Ronaldo fans about the national team that is complete BS. There are people out there that have no idea just how friendly they are with one another. Ronaldo himself came public last tournament when he left Utd sayin his relationship with Bruno is, and I quote "Excellent".....and he's not the type to just say that kind of thing. If you see how they hugged in the goal celebration you'll see that too. People are reading waaaay too much into Ronaldo giving an assist. If they actualled watch Portugal matches where (surprise surprise) Bruno and Ronaldo have played together FOR YEARS....they'd not read into these stupid things.

Lads just so you know since you were trying to pronounce Turkey correctly, Pepe is actually pronounced Pep, as in 'Pep Guardiola'. I should have said it was closer to Pep than Pepe. Obrigado
