Only thing England has going for them is defense. Unable to press high, counter attack, and even play with ball possession. Sorry, on paper great team but the chemistry is missing between the players especially in the midfield and attack. Especially from individuals like Jude Bellingham who is just overhyped like most English players & Harry Kane you'd expect more individual effort to create those spaces and get behind the defense but they both for the most part looked like they just want the rest to do the work. Foden, great player but is struggling and making stupid decisions, seems to unsure and lacks confidence so far. Not sure what is going on with England, because they got the quality but it seems like they cannot play with each other. And don't get me started on Southgate, probably the worst Manager in the Euros. He probably needs to get sacked for England to start performing to their expectations. Best player for England so far in attack has been Kyle Walker and he is a defender ... that should say enough.

No one predicted Austria would come in first, not even myself; I hoped for second. But now, it's done-we're on top. Facing Turkey, some Turkish fans even told me they believe Austria will win, which is significant given their patriotic nature. For me, it's one game at a time. If we beat Turkey, we’ve achieved our goal, no matter what happens next. However, if we make it to the finals, I hope we face Germany. As a French supporter I hope you’re right. But I really doubt it. I know our team shows up when it matters, but we’ve been absolutely awful. There is no cohesion offensively and we are so reliant on Mbappe that if he has a bad game we can’t score. France have the same issue as England. A wealth of talent, with a manager that doesn’t know how to use it. Although I appreciate Deschamps for what he has done as both a player and a manager, his success as a manager has never been because of his tactical nous. It’s the players and his man management. But we’ve been found out. The tactics revolve around pragmatic, defensive football and with counter attacks. And the player don’t know what to do when a team it’s deep. I don’t think the belief that pragmatism wins tournaments is valid anymore. I would be shocked if we get past a team as well organised as Germany. Or maybe all of that is bollocks and we’ll somehow find a way to win.

What you missed about the belgium-Ukraine game is how belgium set up. Tedesco knew that ukraine needed to win, so he played a very safe game with a "come at us" mentality. Now, you might not think that is a favourable way to play for belgium (I don't), but I guess it got the job done on the day.

Italy has good chance of making into the final considering they are relatively in easier side of round 16. Italy doesn't have star players but they have an excellent defence and an goalkeeper. They use to be very calculative in their approach especially in knockouts and knows how much efforts needed to win games. Slovak fan here. Realistically speaking, I don't think our team belongs to the top eight (not that I would mind) however I would like England to really earn it. That is, no questionable referee calls and good football from both sides. Our team already did what they set out to do and they even made some waves in the process by beating Belgium. Unless the game is a blowout I'll be happy with whatever outcome. England, Italy and the Netherlands enjoy the better side of the bracket but whatever team ends up winning the other side is the top contender for me.

France vs Belgium could be really good or really boring no in between, especially with how Lukaku and doku have been playing i think France will win the question is how much, doku so far has been all pace and dribbling 0 end product, poor crossing, poor passing, poor finishing and as for Lukaku hes good at hold up play but other than that he hasnt got much else, his finishing has been terrible and the chances he has finished have been rightly ruled out for his poor positioning for being offside because he has no pace so he finds himself offside a lot to counteract that or the fact him being good at hold up play causes him to drop so deep that by the time doku gets the ball to the opponents box Lukaku doesnt have time to get there

It’s unnecessary to be so aggressive when it’s very easy to qualify for the RO16 thanks to 4/6 3rd placed teams making it out. It’s quite a genius strategy by Southgate. As for Slovakia, I’m not saying they’re bad. They’re just average. They got a lucky win against Belgium (Lukaku squandered a lot of good chances) and lost to last place Ukraine.

Spain is tactically good, but their finishing is absolute dog. The 1-0 against Italy was generous, they were pounding Italy, should easily have been 4-0 or 5-0. But again, they can't finish.

For me, I'm now saying a Germany vs Netherlands final. I think Germany being on their home turf will drag them through past Spain and then France in the semis. I think Austria will beat Turkey but I actually think they will lose the rematch with Netherlands due to them now having some expectation from people. Netherlands haven't played that badly and should've beat France and I can't see England, Italy or Switzerland beating them on that side of the draw. I think Germany win the final against them though.
