The fact is, right or wrong which I can see both sides, they were relying on Fofana coming back to go along side Colwill. Badishile was rated and then just completely fell off.. Tosin was in a free for depth and here we are. Is it bad luck? Is it some crap decisions? Maybe both, but either way it needs to be addressed. And I don't want to talk about the attacking side. The names we have up front are more than enough for top 4. The fact is the players aren't performing and if your already on the manager out train God help you. Best thing moving forward for this club is seriously addressing weaknesses in our team, sell players that don't fit, promote youth players that fit better(Santos, Acheompong and Estevao when he comes), buy players to improve certain positions I.e striker, senior defender myb better goalkeeper.

Play nkunku in Palmer position and out Palmer on the right wing where you get the most out of him. Rotate Felix and Nkunku in the middle and rotate Jackson and gui at the top. Left wing Sancho/ Neto. Madueke rotate on the right wing

We need to remember this is a first full Premier League season for Maresca too. I think when he says 'tired' he includes the coaching staff (team) in that too. It isn't an excuse, just the honest answer, Amorim said something similar too last game (as in not getting the time needed) since the fixtures are condensed. We fans are seasoned to it, so our perspective is that it's normal and happens every season. But for someone new to the job it can be challenging. For the initial dip I had hoped the fans would been a bit more patient. If we don't get the top 4, then fine have at it.

In the grand scheme of things, we drew to Everton where we lost many times and they have had some decent results vs the big teams. Fulham we were bad but it’s a last 10 minutes of chaos, it’s the Ipswich defeat that’s awful. The depth it’s the issue, we have got away with it against the weak conference league but the defence is still shit. We need a cb a st and a gk. Bring osihmen in, I love Jackson but we need someone to push him so when he goes through a dip he can be dropped out of the spotlight. Nkunku isn’t a st. Trust the process. Continue to patiently elevate the best performers. Investing time and opportunity for the fringe players. Make no mistake: we need a world class goalkeeper, a reliable CB, an inverted RB, striker. The two most pressing are CB and striker. The workload has reduced. Injuries and absences are hindering further progress. No telling when James, Lavia and Fofana will return to full fitness. These bloakes are injury prone and Chelsea cannot risk rushing them back. Other options need to be developed in the immediate short term and for next season.

With PSR concerns and possible points deduction still looming, needs to be a smart transfer window. Sell fringe players with concrete offers, loan a few to retain value for summer window. Big Lesley not getting a sniff at Southampton needs to return same with Santos. Main targets, ie GK, Striker will need to wait until end of season unless an amazing opportunity presents itself.

I am still positive with Enzo M. He had a bad run last year and went on another run. My concern is why we get rid of Guhi to CP and Tomoi then keep buying poor centre half’s. Teams have worked out that inverted full backs leave space wide. Our centre half’s are slow and require covering. Even so Enzo will find the answers I hope.

Jonathan David is way better for us than Kolo Muani. Jonathan David was an absolute boss on the Lille side that ate PSG lunch in 2021 to win Ligue 1. Kolo Muani is no scrubs but he's not the killer we need., especially when we know his fees won't match that. The market has better options for what we need.

Back line is not “good”. They aren’t bad individually (Desasi aside), but they have very specific weaknesses playing in Marescas system that do not mesh well together. Colwill is asked to go VERY high up the pitch. He is … not fast. When Fofana is healthy you have a very fast partner to cover if the ball is lost quickly. Tosin cannot do that. Tosin is composed and not bad on the ball, but he is even slower than Colwill. Tosin as the last guy trying to cut off a break has burned us just in the last 3 games a few times. Now, because we know we cant recover if the ball is lost in an awkward position it has caused us to be overly cautious with our tempo and moving the ball forward, causing our attack to stagnate and become predictable. The Fofana gap and a lack of clinical finishing in the box is the weakness of Chelsea right now.

I don’t think maresca will be successful at all with his style of play it’s easy for teams like palace Everton fulham and Ipswich to stay in the game for the whole match and make it look easy too!! The last three prem games have been depressing to watch and I’m certain we will not become successful under enzo every team can challenge us now and ain’t scared to play us anymore after THREE MATCHES I’m starting to worry about top 4 now when it was just the other week we could have gone 1 point at the top but his style of play has cost us its boring football too watch most of the time very slow and predictable we need a world class manager otherwise we won’t win anything FOR YEARSSSS!!!!!

Chilwell can't defend anywhere near Cucurellas level. Good going forward but gets caught out in transition. Cucurella just seems to be able to geteverywhere. He is much more versatile and works extremely hard off the ball.
