Depends - in overall use yes IMO most shoes are- for a single tournament on a hardcourt the roger pro for sure
@goethe1776 Жыл бұрын
I found these shoes to be super comfortable, way more than the Asics ff2, which actually gave me some foot pain, I usually play around 5h/week, after six months, roughly 120h in, the shoe still looks to be pretty comfortable, but the outsole looks pretty spent already, so decided to pick up another pair and leave the new one only for actual matches, specially since these shoes required at least to me, no "breaking into it" time.

I just think most people who bought this takes it more as a collection item, like I’m definitely not going to wear it (except if I bought another pair) this shoe is almost identical to Roger’s which was never such case from Nike (the market one vs Roger’s is easily distinguishable), which makes it even more valuable
@FootDoctorZach3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think these will be worth a good bit at auction in a few years time

Have you tried the clay version yet? The sole looks to be more durable if using on hard courts specifically.
@jorgeandrescoppiano3 жыл бұрын
Greeeeeaaaat video Zack! Definitely look like F1 tennis shoes. Maybe they could make an all court sole pattern for retail. For longer use and clay courts. Over the midsole plushness...does Roger use custom insoles? I remember Rafa and Novak do. Maybe Roger gets the plushness from those. Gotta love a low t the ground, nimble, and wide forefoot (not midfoot), with solid lateral stability. That wide plush foam all around the heel looks lovely, just like Roger's player issue shoes with Nike, and the looooveleee Vapor Speed 2. Plushness, protection, and comfort....bring that to a light, low to the ground shoe...I would be in love..(next Vapor please Nike)

Thank you - he probably does and also some people like the feel of harder foams

Nice review! I just played 2 1/2 hours of doubles in them and they feel absolutely comfortable! I like how they give me that low to the ground feeling, lightweight, and breathable. Judging by the tread performance alone, it seems like they sold this more for collectors than for people to actually play. It seems promising though, hope they can come up with a more consumer-oriented variant (more durable model with hopefully similar performance) Btw, when did you switch to the Radical? I notice it's been your go-to for a few videos now.
@FootDoctorZach3 жыл бұрын
Yup if they even just change the Durometer to s bit harder of a rubber and put a bed of herringbone it’d be a great shoe-switched about a month ago- no regrets on the radical pro- super comfy racket to play with
@reb3493 жыл бұрын
@@FootDoctorZach glad you're liking it. personally thought long and hard about switching to it because it does play really well. Hey Zach, do you think these are the same, less, or more durable than the VaporX? Cause honestly I feel like the VaporX is paper thin and not as durable as the previous versions. I’m really considering the Roger On shoe line bc of how great On shoes feel compared to my regular shoes for walking and running. My current tennis shoes are ASICS solution speed and for some reason they give my feet a hard time. Possibly the arch is too high & feels further back which forces my feet to feel strained or almost at a cramping state. With how On cloud shoes feel so heavenly I’m wanting a piece that action.
@FootDoctorZach3 жыл бұрын
Outsole less durable as i talk about in the teardown video and in the head to head with the vapor pro video - these arent build the same as the on running like too- theyre meant for very limited use :kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6iceINpaJ2fjq8 ,kzbin.info/www/bejne/baqWamCCndqfpMk

@@FootDoctorZach, okay. I'm an American living in Japan, and I have a incredibly hard time finding tennis shoes that fit (US size 13-1/2 would be ideal). As a subscriber, I looked at your video on the five best shoes for summer. Nike will not allow their shoes to be exported to Japan by companies such as Tennis Warehouse, and the other brands mentioned (Lotto & Diadora) seem non-existent. I did manage to snag a pair of the Asics, via the web, but in a size 14, which flops around a bit on my foot.
