My first exposure to Sonic was Underground. I found it on Netflix when I was little. As a 2009 kid, I have no idea how I found it but I loved it. Don’t get mad at me.

Same! My first exposure to Sonic was when Sonic SAT-M/Sonic Underground was still on Netflix. I played a few of the games before that I think and it was definitely a prime time in my childhood. It's such a shame they removed those shows off of Netflix though. :/

Sonic X was the first thing I remember crying to thanks to that Cosmo’s sacrifice scene and that was when I watched the English version, when I rewatched in the Japanese sub version, that made me to cry to it even more. Tails and Cosmo even say they love each other in the sub version while they say something else in the dub.

Sonic X was actually my very first exposure to the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. So back in 2005 when I've first found out that there was a Sonic the Hedgehog video game, I was like: "Sweet! I've always thought that Sonic would be awesome as a video game!" Little did I know that he's been a video game since 1991. (roughly 4 years before I was born)

I remember when I binge-watched all of Sonic X in the summer of 2008. I grew up with Sonic as a child, but in teenage years, I stepped away from it after Sonic Adventure 2 on Sega Dreamcast. Getting ready to join Anime Club at Triton College, by then, I started getting back into Sonic because I was completely head-over-heels for this older-taller girl named Miranda (when it comes to knowing Sonic lore, she's like a Sonic-Goddess). Before joining Anime Club in 2008, I completely binge-watched all of Sonic X to try and catch up on Sonic lore, simply because I wanted to impress Miranda, lol. I guess in terms of Sonic fan status, things worked out; as now Cosmo the Seedrian is one of my top eight favorite characters (along with Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, Tails, Amy, Rouge ans Silver). I even finally bought my first Sonic plushy this month; Cosmo the Seedrian (next, trying to get Tails :D ).

As a casual Sonic fan that loved playing the Genesis game trilogy, enjoyed Sonic X and even watched Sonic: Sat-AM recently, I'd say Sonic Boom being a Sonic TTG is not an insult. In fact, it does it better than TTG

I think the best part is that, in Japan, Sonic is consistently shown to be multi-lingual. So he speaks Japanese primarily, but he occasionally exclaims things in English. Sometimes these are also English curse words. XD

Besides the sonic tattoo my dad had and my cousin showing me me sonic X , underground was my true introduction to sonic on my own. It holds a really close place to my heart and even today I think some of the songs are kinda solid. X and Underground are my favorites too. I was about thirteen or fourteen when I starting watching those shows (I'm in my early 20's now). This was back in I think 2012-2013 maybe a little earlier. Sonic X introduced me to the Sonic series and Sonic Underground followed a little while later. I just completely fell in love with both of them despite any quirks they had.
