My husband used to play this song a lot as well as other songs from ELP. I couldn't find the ELP version on here. This is beautiful too. My husband took me to see ELP live back in the 90's. They were great! This song will ALWAYS remain very special to me. Makes me cry each time. A happy cry though. :) LOVE it!

Orest Buciora -I agree. One of the things that I like the most about Greg is that he puts his heart and soul into every word that he sings, and he's not afraid to show it.

When you see, todays performers that I don't even want to name, can kiss these guys behinds. I'm so happy that I grew up on these .Led Zeppelin, Dep purple ,Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, ELP ,Yes,and many more!!!!! It is a SHAME what they did with music today. This drake guy and the others can go poor, but the mind changed ones loves them. :(

First time when you looked at me You tried to hide but I could see A special beauty in your eyes Passion flying like a spark Like an arrow to the mark I feel it sting my jealousy Before you know there's footprints in the snow Desire like a river flows Where it comes from no one knows Love just like a flower grows And then God only knows It comes down like guillotine Now I feel the rain of love torn by a hurricane One night eclipsed the sun How deep still waters run How deep they go like footprints in the snow Take my love into your breast Commit my spirit to the test You will see him like a knight His armour gleams We'll fly upon his angel's wings Above the clouds in rainbow rings We can sail a ship of dreams If you will take my hand We can cross this desert made of sand We can break in through the ice And feel the wind of paradise We'll feel it blow our footprints in the snow Anytime you feel alone Just raise your hand, pick up the phone Tap in my number, there I'll be If one day your stars won't shine I will give you some of mine Cause they could fall so easily We both know there's footprints in the snow... ...........:)O(:...........

@manginifan It's odd how completely ignored Greg Lake is in the music community. I mean, listen to how beautiful that guitar and that voice is: he hasn't made it onto any list for anything that I've seen. I mean, even "The Edge" made it onto the best guitarists list. Yeah, that guy. I say, the music community is a funny place, doncha think?
