One of the better Christmas songs ever written IMHO. I remember Greg, Keith, Carl playing together in their heyday (late 1979 in November IIRC), and they played a version of this. I wasn't expecting it but the audience gave it a round of applause when they finished.

I remember telling Greg how much this song meant to me, and how it helped inspire me to create my poster Athena. That The WHO sing the song "Athena" about. I was at a celebrity banquet in 1984 when I talked to Greg. He told me he was really touched by the fact that he had been part of my inspiration to create my poster and mystery. And how much the song "I Believe in Father Christmas" meant to me.

A beautiful song sung by a beautiful man ... I had the pleasure of seeing Greg live and meeting him in 2005 and he played this for everyone ... ELP always have been and always will be my favourite band of all time ... the first big band I ever saw at Wembley in 1974 and it was an introduction into my journey of discovery into great music ... Greg and Keith will always be in my heart and are a part of my very soul ... while others at this time were writing party songs for Christmas Greg came up with this masterpiece which must be seen as a modern day Christmas Carol ... miss you so much Mr Lake X
