Very watchable from start to finish Austin,Lucy n ' of course Marley.The video flowed smoothly betweeen the scenes and the the van looked great. I kind of keep an eyes to the right when I'm on my travels , every time I see a camper I look to the roof line in search of R2. The pooch seems to be going as good as ever on this road trip.

Cheers mate . Marley loved it and perked up the whole trip . Must’ve been the warmer weather . We can’t believe how popular R2 is . We get folk beeping and taking photos all the time . It’s a pain when you want to overtake on the motorway and a car is hovering next to us taking a pic lol.

The van has been awesome . We’ve just had a tow bar fitted yesterday to carry the ebikes so we’re all set now. The Camino looks great and very different than other long distance hikes . It’s a very civilised walk and very few folk do the wild camping thing as it’s incredibly well set up for hostels etc that folk pr book along the way. Happy hiking 👍

Saw loads of photos on Instagram, so nice to enjoy the video and also nice to see Marley on his hols as well. 450 miles driving in one day is canny mind, drive me around the twist but I hate driving lol. Streak salad, potatoes and wine looked great and such a bonus having the van. I bet it was nice getting a walk out after all that driving but £900 for a new phone, man, tough call! Cheers Alan

Cheers Alan , hope you’re healing well . Yes it was pretty tiring the first two days even though I don’t mind the driving I sure felt it in the evening. The van was ace and worlds away from the usual hiking holidays , just wish Marley was a bit younger so we could combine the two . Could get used to the luxury of steak and wine more often lol. That bloody phone stung a bit and to add insult to injury after two weeks in rice and in the airing cupboard the damn thing works 😡.

Thank you 👍. We used to do a bit of biking in the Alps around Morzine and Les Gets . I remember the Tour was due to pass through one year and we were amazed at the effort the villages put in such as the bikes cut from hedges on the roundabouts etc. Must have been great following along 👍

its roughly £30 ish for a euro vet to do the wormer tablet and to stamp the pet passport, we dont even pre book the vets, any in europe knows what to do when you turn up

Yes we got back a month ago and paid roughly that but i'm glad we did book as we tried several beforehand and would have had to wait for an appointment anyway so i'd always recommend booking in advance .

Good to see you out and about again...I wondered where you'd got to? Marley looked pretty spritely for an old boy although I understand that joint problems can be unpredictable. Our old feller sometimes stumbles on his front left leg which seems to just 'go' on him now and again. Looking forward to further episodes.

That's the problem with myself being self employed these days . Trips just got a whole lot more expensive so taking so many Fridays off has gone out the window unfortunately .Marley does the same occasionally and face plants into the ground . He definitely looks embarrassed when it happens though lol. The back leg is a real worry though as i'm terrified the right ones going to go with the over compensating but the bugger won't slow down 🙄

I really enjoyed this video. I found it much more informative about what is really involved with camper trip, than all those videos with rich, ultra-hip, ultra-young couples who live permanently in vans, travel to very exotic destinations and share their personal life down to the level of showing us how they brush their teeth.

If you drop your phone in the water, just put it in a bag of dry rice for 24 hours and then try powering it up. Doesn't always work, but worth a try! They can sometimes also be repaired.

You must someday do the Camino, it's a fantastic experience I walked the whole France's route when I was Sixty and loved every minute .Safe Travels Guys.

Lol yes , don’t know what’s come over me 🤪. For some reason these van vids seem much easier to edit than the wild camping ones . The services for campers in Europe are superb . Puts us to shame really. I do love the driving but the first two days were pretty tiring . It was great having the Marlster with us he loved every minute 🐶. Have you tried Green lipped Mussel for Marley ? We use it for one of ours and it made a massive difference. Really improves our dogs quality of life. Great video, really helpful tips.

Your “This vehicle made the Keswick Run in less than 12 Parsecs” Sticker reminded Me of a Social Car Rally I entered back in the 80’s. Not only did I Win the Rally Time-wise, (closest Participant to the Time Set by the Course Organiser) but I also completed the Rally with all Questions Answered Correctly, in 10 Kilometres less than the Expected Distance Set by the Course Organiser. My secret was in relation to a Hospital. The Question was “How Many Stories Tall is the Main Building?”. Whilst everyone drove to the Hospital and variously obtained the Answer, I Sat on a Hill overlooking the City and using Binoculars Counted Floors, thus saving Me Time and Distance.

Yes they do sting a bit, diesel was 1.61 !!! but they are a great way over covering ground quick and they do build a good motorway . Makes a big difference in a rattly camper lol

Thank you . It is a Fiat Ducato 2.3l diesel . We did a bit of a walk round in an earlier video but i really should do a proper one but just wasn't sure if people would be interested as its not a home built one and is fairly plain inside .

Aah but that’s not a road trip and don’t forget we had Marley with us . Fuel and tolls came to around the £900 mark and we did 3150 miles in the end . The tolls were around 220 -240 quid . 👍
