This cleverly designed 40l (10.6gal) polyethylene tank is extremely strong and is shaped to sit on the vehicle's floor behind the front seats.
Made from food grade polyethylene and is BPA free.
The cutout spans the transmission tunnel and the top section can be used as a nonslip floor or stacking supplies/luggage on top of.
This design allows for fitment into most vehicles.

If children are to be seated in the rear, the tank can be strapped to the front seat mounts using normal ratchet tie down straps.
The tank has plastic pipe fittings on each side for connection of a hose and tap. (Hose kits and taps are not included).

I wish you would manufacture something like this for the 2019+ jimny, maybe even just for one side. Being a tall short wheel base car I don't want to put water tank on the roof, trunk is non existent and having the water low would actually benefit for an added low center of garvity. Sure it will be smaller, but it will be enough, and let me tell you, it will be a hit. I sure will buy one!

That's a really cool product! It keeps the weight low and centered, while occupying unused, or difficult to access, space. It would be a great solution for me. But, I can't rationalize the cost. I won't say it's unjustified pricing though. A limited market makes offsetting development and production costs difficult.

How do you completely empty out the opposite side of the tank (from the cap)? 1) you couldn't simply drain it out if it's mounted 2) you can't easily snake something to the other side across that cutout for the transfer case

The Footwell Water Tank has pipe fittings on both sides so you can be able to drain from each side if mounted.

Interesting question! They haven’t been tested for load ratings. If the tank is completely flat on the floor of the car and they are both tightly secured it should be okay. But we can’t promise or warranty that being that that’s not the way it was designed to be used. Thanks!

It would most likely depend on what vehicle you have, the space behind your seat and the space while fully extended back. Im comteplating living the boondock life. And from the camper i was looking at power is pretty well covered. Water, on the other hand is the tricky part. Obviously you need it for basically everything. But the big issue, for me at least, is weight. My nissan frontier while a little beast doesnt have very high payload. 11 gals should be under a 100 pounds and give me an extra day dry camping. Ill have to messure and see but this is a nice option

I need to know what other materials were used in this product before purchasing and drinking water from it. Materials like sealants around the barb connectors, wire holding the cap on(which goes into the tank), metal hardware in the cap, and the material the cap is made from. I know the tank is BPA free, but I need to know how safe these other materials are since they will be in contact with the water pretty much 100% of the time.
